MOVING ARTS presents the Los Angeles premiere production of APPLE SEASON, written by E. M. Lewis and directed by Darin Anthony (BLISS (or Emily Post is Dead!)). APPLE SEASON is produced by Moving Arts at Atwater Village Theatre as a part of a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. Other partnering theaters are New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ) and Riverside Theatre (IA). Mr. Anthony and E. M. Lewis are long time collaborators, he has directed three premiere productions of E. M. Lewis' work, plus two “Car Plays” and a one-act for the Samuel French Ten Minute Play Festival in New York. APPLE SEASON will preview on Thursday, July 11 & Friday, July 12 at 8pm; will open on Saturday, July 13 at 4:00pm and will run through Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Atwater Village Theatre, 3269 Casitas Ave. in Los Angeles, 90039.

Actors Bridge Ensemble's acclaimed production of Sarah DeLappe's The Wolves and Cumberland County Playhouse's rendition of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street were named as the top shows of the year during Midwinter's First Night, the annual tribute to theater in Tennessee, held at Nashville's The Larry Keeton Theatre last Sunday night, January 13. Tony nominated theatre luminary Austin Pendleton directs and adapts a new stage version of Richard III, Shakespeare's greatest villain, in WARS OF THE ROSES: HENRY VI & RICHARD III, which begins performances August 1st at the 124 Bank Street Theatre. The play combines texts from William Shakespeare's Henry VI Part 3 and Richard III, to create a version, which has never been seen before. Produced by Ruth Stage, the production stars Pendleton as Henry VI and Matt de Rogatis as Richard III, while giving a fascinating take on one of history's most notorious villains. The opening is set for Saturday, August 4th at 7PM. WARS OF THE ROSES: HENRY VI & RICHARD III will play a limited engagement through August 19th. Gloucester Stage Company continues its 39th season of professional theater with the New England premiere of Jason O'Connell and Brenda Withers' Cyrano from July 13 through August 11 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Laura Linney makes her London Theatre debut in Pulitzer Prize-winning Elizabeth Strout's My Name is Lucy Barton, directed by Richard Eyre at the Bridge Theatre. Running to 23 June 2018 with opening night on 6 June at 7pm, this haunting dramatic monologue is adapted by Rona Munro from Strout's 2016 New York Times best-selling short novel of the same name.
