South Coast Repertory will start off the new year with the West Coast Premiere of A Feminine Ending, Sarah Treem's romantic comedy about a female musician who aspires to become a composer - but first must find composure in her love life. Directed by Timothy Douglas, A Feminine Ending will run from January 6 through January 27 on the Julianne Argyros Stage. Low-priced previews are available January 6-10. Opening night is Jan. 11. Press night is Saturday, January 12 at 7:45PM.

Culture Project will next produce the World Premiere of George Packer's new play Betrayed, directed by Pippin Parker in 2008.Marking Packer's playwriting debut, Betrayed will begin performances on Friday, January 25 at Culture Project's SoHo theatre. Opening Night is set for February 5, 2008.

The Guthrie today announced that veteran Twin Cities actor Sally Wingert will lead the cast of Third, Wendy Wasserstein's candid and uncompromising portrait of a woman entering the third part of her life. Casey Stangl will direct the production, the first Wasserstein work ever produced by the Guthrie. Third begins previews February 16 and runs through March 30 on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Paper Mill Playhouse announces its mainstage production of The Miracle Worker. The Miracle Worker will run at the Millburn theatre from January 23, 2008 through February 24, 2008. There are three added student matinee performances on February 6, 13 and 14 at 11AM. The Miracle Worker is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
