From Monday 9 June 2008, WICKED will star Alexia Khadime as Elphaba, Dianne Pilkington as Glinda, Oliver Tompsett as Fiyero, Harriet Thorpe as Madame Morrible, Desmond Barrit as The Wizard, Caroline Keiff as Nessarose, Jeremy Legat as Boq and Andy Mace as Doctor Dillamond. Ashleigh Gray will be Standby Elphaba and Sarah Earnshaw will be Standby Glinda.

The Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater will present OUT OF MY MIND, the acclaimed one-person show written and performed by Nick Zimmerman on Wednesday, April 16th at 8pm and Wednesday, April 30th at 8pm. The show, based on actual events, is set in a University of Chicago dorm room and invites the audience to experience a party in celebration of 'Out of Africa', the 1985 film starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford.

Rosie O'Donnell and the developer of Platinum, SJP Residential Properties will host Rosie Goes Platinum, a party to benefit her charity, Rosie's Broadway Kids. The event takes place Monday, April 14th at 7:00pm and will be held at the sales center for Platinum, a cutting-edge luxury condominium and Rosie's new Broadway area residence. A special performance from Rosie's Broadway Kids will cap off the evening's entertainment.

The Road to Qatar!, a true new musical comedy, will have two staged readings for industry professionals at Chelsea Studios at 1pm and 4:30pm on April 18, 2007. The book and lyrics are by Stephen Cole and the music is by David Krane. Cole and Krane based the show on their real life experience of being commissioned to write the first American musical to premiere in the Middle East. The reading will be directed by Marcia Milgrim Dodge (Lucille Lortel Nominee for Seussical) and features a cast of five including Rob Bartlett (Little Shop of Horrors, The Imus Show), Mary Birdsong (Martin Short-Fame Becomes Me, Hairspray), Brad Oscar (The Producers, Spamalot), Seth Rudetsky (The Ritz), and Ray Wills (The Producers). One day three years ago both Stephen Cole and David Krane (who did not know each other at the time) received an email that read: 'We want you write musical. How much?' This began an unbelievable but true journey that introduced the two 'short Jews' to an alien world of camels, deserts and crazy Egyptian theatrical producers. During the course of this crazy Arab adventure, Stephen and David starred in their own personal Bob Hope-Bing Crosby 'road picture' that took them to Dubai, Qatar, London, Bratislava and back to the USA after writing and presenting a huge original musical for the Emir of Qatar and one thousand of his invited guests. When they returned, they had no other choice but to write their story in the only way they knew how: as a musical! The names have all been changed, but the story is totally true.

Showtunes! Theatre Company wraps up its successful 2007-2008 season with a production of the rarely staged Noël Coward musical comedy Sail Away. The Showtunes! book-in-hand, concert staging plays two performances only at the Kirkland Performance Center (350 Kirkland Ave, Kirkland, WA): Saturday May 3, 2008 at 8 PM and Sunday May 4, 2008 at 2 PM.

Two groundbreaking new works directed by leading theater artists will take the stage at American Conservatory Theater's First Look New Plays Festival, running April 11 through April 26 at Zeum Theater. The plays include The Road Weeps, The Well Runs Dry, a deeply poetic new play by Marcus Gardley, and the newest version of Lillian Groag's theatrical adaptation of renowned poet Christopher Logue's War Music, a contemporary retelling of Homer's Iliad. The New York premiere of 'Gone, But Not Forgotten' plays two only, Friday and Saturday April 25 and 26 (both at 10pm), at The Metropolitan Room, marking the much-anticipated return to New York of the West Coast-based McNight.

BEEBO BRINKER CHRONICLES, the 2008 GLAAD Media Award-winning stage adaptation of Ann Bannon's groundbreaking pulp novels, will end its limited engagement run as scheduled on April 27. It is written by Kate Moira Ryan (25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, 2007 GLAAD Media Award Winner for Best Play) and Linda S. Chapman (Gertrude and Alice: A Likeness to Loving) and directed by Leigh Silverman (Well).

Soho Think Tank will present Kirk Wood Bromley's latest play, Me, directed by Alec Duffy. Performances will be at the Ohio Theater, located at 66 Wooster Street, between Spring and Broome Streets in Soho. Performances will begin on Saturday, May 3rd, continuing through Saturday, May 24th.
