The official opening night of the new SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is set for Tuesday, June 14th at the Foxwoods Theatre . Tickets are now on sale through October 2, 2011, with group tickets on sale through January 8, 2012.

Following a three-week hiatus when previews resume tomorrow, May 12, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will play the following performance schedule: Tuesday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Saturday at 2:00 p.m., and Sunday at 3:00 p.m. The official opening night of the new SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is set for Tuesday, June 14th at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street). Though the lack of an invite for critics didn't stop them from 'storming the theatre' to see and review what's being called 'SPIDER-MAN 1.0', the newly revised show will be inviting critics officially for the first time, the second week in June, before their upcoming June 14th official opening night. Performances begin tomorrow for the newly re-imagined show which has undergone extensive changes that are said to have addressed both audience and critical complaints.

This Thursday, after weeks of revisions and rehearsals for what has been dubbed SPIDER-MAN 2.0 - the overhauled version of the $70 million bohemoth SPIDER-MAN, TURN OFF THE DARK - opens once again for previews. Though the original version was marred by injuries, delays, and disastrous reviews, the creative team hopes to start with a clean slate.

Injured SPIDER-MAN perform Christopher Tierney returned to rehearsals for the musical on Monday, April 25th. Tierney has been cleared to rejoin the show and intends to be swinging over the audience again on opening night June 14. He is now one step closer, as he successfully performed his first major aerial stunt since being back, according to a report in from the AP. Tierney gracefully completed his in-air fight with the Green Goblin stuntman in a run last night without upset or unjury. Tierney, cast and team are 'excited' and 'emotional' over his recovery and return.

As previously reported by BroadwayWorld, Law & Order: Criminal Intent will tackle the troubled Broadway musical SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK in an upcoming episode, and stage and screen star Cynthia Nixon is et to star in it. According to TVline.com, Nixon will play the episode's Julie Taymor equivalent, a 'high-strung and larger-than-life director behind a problem-plagued Broadway version of Icarus.'

BroadwayWorld.com has confirmed (the great news) that lead actress, T.V. Carpio, who plays the role of Arachne has returned to the production and to the show's rehearsals for the in-the-works revamping. Audience members last night told us that both Carpio and the show received a rousing ovation.

Although performances of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark will be suspended from April 19th through May 11th while the cast and new creative team work on implementing major revisions to the show, ticket-holders will still have an opportunity to see the webbed superhero in a musical, as the Foxwoods Theatre will be housing a limited run of The Spidey Project: With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.
