By: Charlie Piane
Injured SPIDER-MAN perform Christopher Tierney will return to the musical, according to news reports.
Lead producer Michael Cohl said Wednesday that Christopher Tierney has been cleared to rejoin the show and hopes to be swinging over the audience again on opening night June 14.
The actor is expected to be join rehearsals this Monday.
On December 20, Christopher Tierney suffered an accident which caused the actor to fall 30 feet. Tierney sustained a fracture in his skull, a broken scapula, a broken bone close to his elbow, 4 broken ribs, a bruised lung and 3 fractured vertebrae.
Tierney was released from rehab on January 5. NY1 talked to the actor as he walked out of the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine and he told them that "I feel great, the fresh air. I can't wait to actually take a walk around New York, and maybe even be on the West Side of the city. I feel like I've been here forever," said Tierney. "I'm going to drop my stuff off at my house and maybe go do some belated Christmas shopping."
The revamping of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark represents an unprecedented and historic moment on Broadway. The new version takes the best aspects of the original, adds great new songs by Bono and The Edge, tells the story from a different angle, and will offer an even more thrilling audience experience.

Harris said, in a joint statement, "We salute the artists and performers who have made this show an exciting reality, and we look forward to getting to the finish line with the wonderful new version of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark that is now in the works, with Phil McKinley at the helm."
