Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country will celebrate Temecula Valley Restaurant Month with 'Best of the Best' menu items in Old Town Temecula, Temecula Valley Wine Country, Pechanga Resort & Casino, Promenade Temecula, and throughout the destination. The month-long culinary event takes place at the start of the new year, from January 1 to January 31, 2019. For the event, local restaurants have been invited to participate by putting forward what they believe to be their 'best' menu item.

The Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University auctioned off through Christie's Auction House a portion of its collection of centuries old wines and spirits, raising funds to provide handicap access to the museum. The entire collection, discovered during a 2016 museum renovation, includes over 40 demijohns (wicker covered 5-gallon bottles) and 6 cases of Madeira dating back to 1796, and over 300 bottles of various spirits from the 1800s - all collected by the Kean family over their 185-year residence at Liberty Hall. The remainder of the collection will be used to establish a permanent exhibition entitled 'History in a Bottle: the Kean Collection of Historic Wines & Spirits', opening in Spring 2019.
LaMirada and McCoy Rigby Entertainment will present the award-winning and revolutionary 1776 THE MUSICAL, with musical direction by Jeff Rizzo and directed & staged by Glenn Casale. 1776 THE MUSICAL will begin previews on Friday, January 11, 2019 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 12 at 8pm) and runs through Sunday, February 3, 2019 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

Make Music Winter, a free, outdoor music-making celebration held each Dec. 21 and featuring 15 participatory musical parades across New York City that bring communities together, today announced its updated schedule of events. The all-day musical celebration on the winter solstice brings out New Yorkers of all ages and musical ability to sing, play, march and dance their way across streets, parks, plazas and other public spaces across the five boroughs. Make Music Winter, which launched in NYC in 2011 and is expanding nationwide with 30 U.S. cities participating, is the cold-weather counterpart to Make Music Day, the annual global celebration of music occurring on June 21, the summer solstice.

The Old Globe announces its inaugural New Voices in the Community series: free public performances at libraries across San Diego County, followed by conversations with the playwrights and experts in the community. The first New Voices in the Community features three solo shows by women: Hold These Truths by Jeanne Sakata, "A" Train by Anne Torsiglieri, and Unveiled: A One-Woman Play by Rohina Malik.
Anemone might be the brainchild of Montreal's Chloé Soldevila but it's the chemistry between each band member that really brings the band to life. Today the band is announcing their debut album Beat My Distance on Luminelle Records. To celebrate they are releasing a new song from the album titled 'Sunshine (Back To The Start).' Soldevila explains the song is about 'Overcoming the pattern of falling in love with someone who is unworthy, but that you still believed it could work. I called it 'Sunshine' because this song should resonate positively - it is about focusing on the bright side and coming out a stronger person; daydreaming of better, sunnier days.' Flaunt Magazine shared the song today, calling it '...perfect to accompany this Indian Summer.'
