I recently had the opportunity to attend a press event with the cast of BEETLEJUICE The Musical. I love going to these events. It's the best time to be at the beginning of a show's journey on the Great White Way. I got the chance to talk to the main cast (Rob McClure, Alex Brightman, Sophia Anne Caruso, Kerry Butler, Adam Dannheisser, and Leslie Kritzer), the composer/lyricist, Eddie Perfect, and the director, Alex Timbers.

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures (Mark Kaufman) and Langley Park Productions (Kevin McCormick) announced that The Winter Garden Theater Box Office (1634 Broadway) will open for ticket sales for the new Broadway musical comedy BEETLEJUICE on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 10am. The first 100 patrons to show up at the Winter Garden Theatre box office dressed in BEETLEJUICE black and white (BEETLEJUICE prefers stripes) can purchase 2 specially priced weekday orchestra preview tickets for $33.33 each (In honor of the 30th Anniversary of Tim Burton's film - say it 3 times!).

They're back from the grave! BroadwayWorld is excited to reveal that the Broadway transfer of Beetlejuice will welcome back original members of the company including Alex Brightman in the title role, Sophia Anne Caruso as Lydia, Kerry Butler as Barbara, Rob McClure as Adam, Adam Dannheisser as Charles, and Leslie Kritzer as Delia.

Alex Brightman received Tony, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for his performance as Dewey Finn in Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock. Other Broadway credits include Glory Days, Wicked, Big Fish, and Matilda.

North Carolina's own William Ivey Long has been busy designing the costumes for two of this season's most anticipated musicals: TOOTSIE and BEETLEJUICE. When I visited him in his Tribeca studio last summer, he talked to me about his design process, the many BEETLEJUICE jackets, and his North Carolina roots. The musical features music and lyrics by Eddie Perfect and a book by Anthony King & Scott Brown. Timbers remains on board for the project. Connor Gallagher will join the creative team as choreographer.
