Dorset Theatre Festival presents Holland Taylor's ANN, directed by Kristen van Ginhoven. Two-time Tony nominee JAYNE ATKINSON ("House of Cards," "Madam Secretary") will play Ann Richards, the former Governor of Texas known for a personality as large as the state from which she hailed. The play also features Tony Award-Winner JULIE WHITE (The Little Dog Laughed) as the voice of Ann Richards' assistant, Nancy Kohler.

This year, a living legend of musical theatre turns 90: Lyricist-bookwriter Tom Jones (who also, under a stage name) appeared in the original company of his most famous and wildly successful record-breaking musical, The Fantasticks. His collaborator, composer Harvey Schmidt, just recently passed away. The production's record-breaking run closed, on January 13, 2002, after 17,162 performances. Their shows also include 110 in the Shade, I Do! I Do!, Philemon, Celebration and many more. And celebration is what it's about when Broadway veterans Carole Demas, who originated the role of Sandy in Grease, and Sarah Rice, who originated the role of Johanna in Sweeney Todd, return to celebrate Jones & Schmidt. Demas and Rice have based the show on their 50 years of work and personal relationships with Tom and Harvey. With very special guest Broadway's Hal Robinson who is also a Fantasticks alumni.

Mint Theater will extend the revival of Days to Come by Lillian Hellman, hailed as  "one of the most important playwrights of the American theater" (New York Times). Performances will now continue through October 6th at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is set for August 26th.

Lively McCabe Entertainment will collaborate with Grammy and Tony Award nominees Plain White T's to develop a television adaptation of the band's chart-topping song 'Hey There Delilah."  Described as a contemporary fairy tale expanding on the story within the song, the concept is from T's front man and songwriter Tom Higgenson, writer Jeremy Desmon (Pump Up The Volume, One Hit Wonder), and Lively McCabe's Michael Barra, with Desmon attached to write. Primary Wave's Deb Klein is attached to produce.

LUMBERYARD Contemporary Performing Arts opens its inaugural summer 2018 season, which will fill venues surrounding the organization's highly anticipated new facility in Catskill, New York, with Scat!,a dance-driven musical from Urban Bush Women set in Hudson, NY's Club Helsinki (June 29-July 1). Roger Sanders and Dana Scott Galloway present the New York premiere of The Klunch's production of LAURA BUSH KILLED A GUY by Ian Allen. Directed by John Vreeke, the production stars Lisa Hodsoll, who received a 2018 Helen Hayes Award nomination for her portrayal of the former First Lady in the acclaimed Washington DC premiere. Schimmel Center will present Tony and Pulitzer Prize nominee Anna Deavere Smith's Obie Award-winning solo performance, Notes From the Field, for one weekend only on Friday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Today, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in preparation for a two week run at the Royal Court in London. The production is directed by Leonard Foglia and features original music composed and performed by bassist Marcus Shelby who joins Ms. Smith on stage.

Porchlight Music Theatre concludes its fifth season of Chicago's "lost" musicals in staged concert series with Porchlight Revisits Do Re Mi, starring Porchlight Music Theatre's Artistic Director Michael Weber and Nancy Voigts, music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and book by Garson Kanin, with direction and choreography by Christopher Pazdernik and musical direction by David Fiorello. Porchlight Revisits Do Re Mi is presented for three-nights-only Tuesday, May 22 through Thursday, May 24 at 7:15 p.m. and is performed on the set of Porchlight's Memphis (previews begin April 19) at Porchlight's new home, The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street.
