A Noise Within, California's acclaimed classic repertory theatre company, announces the fifth production of its 30th anniversary season, Nilo Cruz's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Anna in the Tropics, directed by ANW's Director of Cultural Programming Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx (he/him).  The play will run March 20 through April 17, 2022, with press performances on Saturday, March 26 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 27 at 2 p.m.

Mercury Theatre today announces full cast for Mark Ravenhill's Blackmail, a new version of the classic thriller originally written by Charles Bennett. Anthony Banks directs Gabriel Akuwudike (Harold Webber), Jessie Hills (Alice Jarvis), Patrick Walshe McBride (Ian Tracy), and Lucy Speed (Ada Jarvis).

Anna-Jane Casey is known for her roles in shows such as Chicago, Forbidden Broadway, and Annie Get Your Gun. She is currently playing Fräulein Kost in the recent revival of Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre. We spoke with Casey about being in the show.

The three productions will be Windfall (May 31–June 19), a new comedy by Scooter Pietsch, directed by Jason Alexander; Anna in the Tropics (June 28–July 24) the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Nilo Cruz, directed by Marcos Santana; and Ragtime (August 2–28), with music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and a book by Terrence McNally, directed by Will Pomerantz.

Ground Floor Theatre has announced the return to live theatre with an updated 2021 season schedule along with two titles for the 2022 season, and the second quarter GFT In Residence Artist. After moving rain falls special on me and Anna in the Tropics from the 2020 season, GFT has now set dates for both.

An independent study published today says that restoring the dormant historic building as a centre for arts and culture “could play a major role in leading the post-Covid high-street recovery, developing the 15-minute neighbourhood, increasing localised co-working opportunities and ultimately making a significant economic contribution to the regeneration of this part of London”.
