Following on from the success of Rep Stripped in 2019, Dundee Rep is thrilled to announce the return of its celebrated festival of new work. Offering some of the most exciting emerging artists a platform to present new ideas in a stripped back format, with support to experiment and develop with an audience.

Purchased with funds from the museum's endowment, the most recent acquisitions include Jeffrey Gibson's BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY (2021), Barkley L. Hendricks's photograph Self Portrait with Black Hat (1980–2013), Peter Sacks's mix-media work Without Name (2020), and Marie Watt's Forerunner (2020).

The Juilliard School will hold its 117th commencement ceremony on May 20, 2022, at 10:30am. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the Lincoln Center campus in Damrosch Park, presided over by Juilliard President Damian Woetzel. It will also be livestreamed at juilliard.edu for those unable to attend in person.

Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) has today revealed an inclusive range of new and continuing programmes created to support and develop burgeoning filmmaking and curatorial talent across the film industry.

Yesterday, at a press conference hosted at Roxbury Community College, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) and Odyssey Opera, two of today's leading innovators on the classical musical scene, unveiled a new five-year initiative to elevate opera by Black composers. 

It has been over a year and half since the world shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Finally, I'm thrilled to say, Theater has returned. 'Welcome back!' Oops, Wait I'm mixing-up my 1970's John Travolta pop culture references. 'I got chills and they're multiplying' (that's better). Thankfully, these multiplying chills are not from COVID, but from Theatre Three's fantastically fun production of Grease, complete with an on-stage hot rod.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present Christina Bianco in her new show “A Lot to Unpack” on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16 at 8:30 PM. Her bags are packed for London but before she leaves her hometown this globetrotting, genre-crossing, multi-voiced, multi-wig-wearing funny girl has some serious unpacking to do.

BIRDLAND will present Amanda Green & Friends “Vaxxed AF!” on Monday, October 4 at 7:00 PM. Tony Award-nominated lyricist/composer and award-winning performer Amanda Green will be joined by some amazing Broadway friends, including Darius de Haas, Ann Harada, Lesli Margherita, Curtis Moore, Natalie Douglas, and Dan Finnerty of The Dan Band.

It was one of those nights in a club when everyone left the building with a smile on their face, a song in their heart, and oxytocin every damn where.

The Marsh presenting performers with a vast range of music backgrounds– from a Grammy Award-winning Armenian composer to a Principal Dancer with the San Francisco Ballet, Music Faculty Member at UC Berkeley, the Principal Keyboard of the San Francisco Symphony, and more. Set to take place at The Marsh Berkeley, the festival is comprised of three full-length musicals and a dance/musical film.
