The cast and creative team for the Broadway-bound limited engagement of The Kite Runner at The Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street) this summer.

The tour will be a continuation of shows performing songs from their most recent album, Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was, as well as selections from their catalog.

Tonight, NBC will air its sixth live musical production. Based on Harold Gray's comic strip titled Little Orphan Annie, this musical tells the story of a little orphan with equal measures of pluck and positivity who charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in New York City in the year 1933.

As the official charity partner of the musical production, 9 TO 5 will host a charity dress rehearsal on Sunday 13 February at 6:30pm with the proceeds from 500 ticket sales going directly to the Imagination Library. These funds, plus other fundraising initiatives on the night, will assist the Imagination Library to bring the gift of reading to children all around the country.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation has named director and playwright Emily Mann, the former artistic director of the McCarter Theatre, as the recipient of its annual Gordon Davidson Award.

The opening performance of Sweeney Todd by Hugh Wheeler with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim will begin Friday, July 23 at 7:30 PM. Composer Robert Sirota launches the inaugural season of a new concert series, Muzzy Ridge Concerts, with two performances in August. Both concerts will take place in the studio where Sirota has composed much of his music over the past 35 years, in Searsmont, Maine.
