Filmed live at the historic Westport Country Playhouse in Connecticut, these concerts feature Tony and Olivier Award-winner Gavin Creel (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hello, Dolly!), Billboard #1 recording artist Shoshana Bean (Wicked, Waitress), and Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award-nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Hamilton, The Color Purple).

Tonight, NBC will air its sixth live musical production. Following in the footsteps of The Sound of Music, Peter Pan, The Wiz, Hairspray, and Jesus Christ Superstar, the peacock network will be presenting Annie. Based on Harold Gray's comic strip titled Little Orphan Annie, this musical tells the story of a little orphan with equal measures of pluck and positivity who charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in New York City in the year 1933.

As the official charity partner of the musical production, 9 TO 5 will host a charity dress rehearsal on Sunday 13 February at 6:30pm with the proceeds from 500 ticket sales going directly to the Imagination Library. These funds, plus other fundraising initiatives on the night, will assist the Imagination Library to bring the gift of reading to children all around the country.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation has named director and playwright Emily Mann, the former artistic director of the McCarter Theatre, as the recipient of its annual Gordon Davidson Award.

If you want a high-energy show, Smokey Joe's Café is definitely for you. The musical revue, on Broadway from 1995-2000, highlights the music of songwriting team Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. The spectacle features their hit songs done back to back including 'Love Potion Number 9', 'Yakity Yak', 'Stand By Me' and 'Jailhouse Rock'. The opening performance of Sweeney Todd by Hugh Wheeler with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim will begin Friday, July 23 at 7:30 PM. Molière in the Park, in partnership with the Prospect Park Alliance and LeFrak Center at Lakeside, will present a full virtual production of Christina Anderson's pen/man/ship, directed by Molière in the Park's Founding Artistic Director Lucie Tiberghien, running April 16 - 24, 2021.
