Digital theater pioneer the Wilma Theater is offering a streaming version of its onstage production ETERNAL LIFE PART 1, which was written by Nathan Alan Davis and directed by Morgan Green, who directed the world premiere digital production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning FAT HAM. The production will be available to view on demand from May 1-14.

WatermelonAlligator Theatre Company presents the New England premiere of “The Way It Is,” by Donna Hoke, at Cotuit Center for the Arts’s Black Box Theater May 4th through May 21st. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2 PM. Jess Wilson directs, assisted by Tony Ferreira of Swansea as stage manager.

Theatre for a New Audience will present the Off-Broadway premiere in English of the great Spanish author Lope de Vega’s Fuente Ovejuna (1612), translated by the late British poet, novelist, and playwright Adrian Mitchell.

The Sherman Players will open their 2023 season with ON GOLDEN POND, written by Ernest Thompson and directed by Jane Farnol. The play will open on Friday, April 21 and run four weekends through May 13th at the Sherman Playhouse.

ROCKY will enter the Pluto TV programming ring with an all-new, limited run channel - Pluto TV ROCKY.  Viewers will be able to grab a ringside seat to stream the ROCKY COLLECTION featuring ROCKY (1976), ROCKY II (1979), ROCKY III (1982), ROCKY IV (1985), ROCKY V (1990) and ROCKY BALBOA (2006) -  for free.

Bernard Pomerance’s The Elephant Man, premiered at the Hampstead Theatre in London in November of 1977. Pomerance’s play also transferred to the National Theatre in London for an “In Rep” residency. From January to March of 1979 it played off-Broadway, and made a transfer to the Booth Theatre on Broadway later in 1979, but the production closed in 1981 after 916 regular performances. The Elephant Man received revivals in 2002 and 2014.

Acclaimed Storyteller Sheila Arnold (VA., US) returns to Toronto to present the world premier of Sweat – a ground-breaking short story by Guggenheim Fellowship Recipient Zora Neale Hurston, where 1920s feminism comes to fruition in the heart of the Harlem Renaissance. The piece is beautifully complemented with original musical composition and arrangement by Yorkville favourite and adult contemporary/soul musician John Campbell.

The Wilma Theater in Philadelphia will present KISS, a daring play by Guillermo Calderón, on stage Jan. 31-Feb. 19, 2023.

American Players Theatre has announced its 2023 lineup, to run June 10 – October 8, with the shoulder season production opening in late October.

Theatre for a New Audience has announced the one-week extension of Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski, by Clark Young and Derek Goldman, directed by Goldman, and starring David Strathairn (Nightmare Alley; Nomadland; Good Night, and Good Luck).

Immediately following the September 25 opening performance of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, bass Ferruccio Furlanetto, who performed the role of Prince Gremin in the opera, was presented with the San Francisco Opera Medal.

The McCrary Sisters, Lizz Wright and Mumu Fresh have been added to the lineup of A Tribute to Bob Dylan, in partnership with the Bob Dylan Center®, on September 30, 2022 at 8pm.
