Tomasz Stańko – one of Europe's most original and beloved jazz musicians – was born on July 11, 1942, in Rzeszów, Poland, and he passed away in Warsaw on July 29, 2018. In many ways, his life traced the course of modern jazz in Europe, beginning with his tenure – when barely into his twenties – in the band of the great Polish composer-pianist Krzysztof Komeda.

Broadway's Elaine Bunse-Bullens passed away on Monday, August 8th, 2022 at Heritage Lakeside Rehab facility in Rice Lake, WI.

Ensemble Studio Theatre has announced the lineup for the 38th Marathon of One-Act Plays, which will be fully comprised of work from artists who identify as Black, Indigenous & People of Color. T

Ahead of the release of their sophomore album, Hush, next week, Newfoundland’s Weary reveal “Trust”. Hush, explores the quiet spaces that demand we listen a little closer, a little more carefully.  The record is part guitar driven inner child work, part attempt to understand the grief, trauma and chaos of our world. 

Due to scheduling issues, the Jeremy Piven performance originally scheduled for Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 has been rescheduled to Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022 at 8 p.m. at the Red Rock Ballroom inside Red Rock Resort. 

From August through early December, 55 visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers and interdisciplinary artists will be at Ucross, which is located on a historic 20,000-acre ranch in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains in northern Wyoming. An independent jury comprised of artists and leaders in the field selected the fellows from nearly 400 applicants, as well as a dozen partners.
