A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and More Announced For Classic Stage Company's 2020-21 Season

Classic Stage Company has announced its 2020-21 season. Bookending the season will be Doyle's new staging of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, in fall 2020, and the long-awaited New York premiere of Ten Cents a Dance, with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Lorzenz Hart, in spring 2021. In between, CSC presents the third annual edition of its winter repertory series, this time pairing landmark 1970s prison dramas: the Tony Award-winning, Apartheid-era play The Island and Kiss of the Spider Woman, which inspired the Tony Award-winning musical and Academy Award-winning film of the same name.

Her goal is to share the profound lessons she has learned along the way to educate and hopefully bring some healing to others. Diligent Champion Of Music And Entertainment, Nancy Lewis Jones, Passes Away

Nancy Carol Lewis Jones died peacefully on December 20, 2019 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City after a short illness.  She was born on the February 20, 1943 in Detroit to Mack and Carol Edith (nee Schulz) Lewis. She attended Cooke Elementary, Redford High, and Michigan State University, where she majored in TV and Radio Production. At MSU she was Campus Correspondent for Billboard and first became seriously interested in the British Music scene when she went to review a concert of The Dave Clark Five in Lansing.

Trinity Repertory Company Continues 2019-2020 Season with August Wilson's RADIO GOLF

Trinity Rep continues its 2019-20 Season with the final play from American theatrical legend August Wilson - Radio Golf. Directed by resident acting company member Jude Sandy, the show features resident acting company member Joe Wilson, Jr., as Harmond Wilks, a man determined to revive his childhood neighborhood without considering the emotional cost. Both moving and funny, Radio Golf is the culmination of August Wilson's ten-play American Century Cycle chronicling each decade of African-American life in the twentieth century. On November 17, 2019, InterSchool Orchestras of New York and the Mingus Dynasty collaborated to present MINGUS at Long Island University Kumble Theater in Brooklyn, NY.  This concert featured never-before-heard full orchestra arrangements of popular Mingus tunes arranged by Earl McIntyre.  It also featured Renée Manning and solo performances by the Mingus Dynasty.
