The show premieres in Riverside, CA on November 9 and will play cities from coast to coast. Produced by the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) with Executive Producer, Eva Price, and co-commissioned by the United Palace of Cultural Arts, The Hip Hop Nutcracker will feature Kurtis Blow, one of hip hop's founding fathers, opening the show in most cities with a short set before rapping the introduction. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is seeking submissions for a New Musicals Reading Series in January 2018 that will consist of two or three new works presented on consecutive Monday evenings in Manhattan.  Submission deadline is August 12, 2017 with a one-week extension for TRU members and shows with a producer attached to August 19, 2017.
