St Helens Theatre Royal has unveiled its full Autumn season of shows, revealing a packed programme of great events running between now until Christmas. 

Composer Robert Sirota launches the inaugural season of a new concert series, Muzzy Ridge Concerts, with two performances in August. Both concerts will take place in the studio where Sirota has composed much of his music over the past 35 years, in Searsmont, Maine.

City Winery Chicago, 1200 W. Randolph Street, has announced Grammy-nominated pop artist Vanessa Carlton, R&B chart topper Raheem DeVaughn, Chicago-born jazz sensation Ann Hampton Callaway, and more. Each concert is preceded by a discussion with composer mentors, mentees, and performers, led by a distinguished thought leader.

Co-commissioned and co-produced with Lyric Opera of Chicago's Lyric Unlimited and Pittsburgh Opera, Rhoda and the Fossil Hunt is based on the real-life experiences of Rhoda Knight Kalt and her trips to the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) with her grandfather Charles R. Knight, the famous naturalist artist who was commissioned to create paintings and sculptures of prehistoric creatures – many still on display at the AMNH today.
