In Broadway by Design, BroadwayWorld is shining a spotlight on the stellar designs of this Broadway season, show by show. Today, we continue the series with David Zinn, who acted as both scenic and costume designer for Broadway's new under the sea adventure, SpongeBob Squarepants.

The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC), New Jersey's newest professional theater, proudly presents Disney's smash-hit, crowd-pleasing musical "Newsies," June 1 - 17. The production is directed and choreographed by Broadway veteran Marcos Santana, whose recent production of Newsies for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre received a Carbonell Award.

The Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert continues its tradition of "Powerhouse Musicals, Hilarious Comedies, and Family Friendly Shows" with its 16th season beginning in August.

Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras (CYSO) presents the spring concert of its world-renowned Symphony Orchestra at Chicago's Orchestra Hall (220 S. Michigan Ave.) on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Made up of some of the most talented and dedicated young musicians from across the Chicago region, the 125-member ensemble is led by Music Director Allen Tinkham. The Duke Ellington Center for the Arts (DECFA) will celebrate the 119th birthday of Duke Ellington with a FREE All-Ellington Musical Tribute on Sunday, April 29, 2018, 1PM to 3PM. which will be staged beneath the Duke Ellington statue that stands majestically at the corner of 110th Street and 5th Avenue - the Gateway to Harlem, it was announced by noted dancer/choreographer Mercedes Ellington, Duke Ellington's granddaughter, who is President, Founder & Artistic Director of DECFA.

??Disney's Newsies has its Delaware County premiere at The Media Theatre, on stage now through June 10. Geoffrey Goldberg is the director and choreographer, with Ben Kapilow leading the live orchestra.

Disney's 'Newsies' has a Delaware County premiere on The Media Theatre stage April 18 through June 10. The Media Theatre (Jesse Cline, Artistic Director) is a professional music theatre located at 104 East State Street in Media, with free parking after 5pm every weekday and on weekends, and in close proximity to award winning restaurants.

This riotous 1892 comedy of a marriage caught between the big city and a small town, makes a triumphant return to the New York stage for the first time since its premiere.

Staged by Artistic Director Alex Roe at Metropolitan Playhouse, 220 E. 4th Street, New York City. This production marks, to our knowledge, the first time the play is being presented since 1892 premiere. It is worth noting that the script only exists in manuscript form and was never published.

Today, Goodman Theatre announces the Summer 2018 return of Jim McGrath's Pamplona starring stage and screen veteran Stacy Keach as Ernest Hemingway, directed by Artistic Director Robert Falls. Originally scheduled for Spring 2017, Pamplona appeared for 11 preview performances but closed prematurely after its star suddenly fell ill on Opening Night and doctors ordered recuperation.

In fact, it worth noting that the script only exists in manuscript form and was never published.

Vocalists Sandra Moon, Mary Thorne and Anna Tonna will join forces with pianist Max Lifchitz in an intimate celebration of the Art Song as practiced by Latino Composers during the last 100 years.
