As a warm-up to their fourth artist album, The Young Punx released their new single 'Wonderland' via MofoHifi Records, the fourth of their schedule of one release per month for the year 2019. The track is conceptualized and produced by Grammy Nominated UK multi-instrumentalist and record producer Hal Ritson, who has credits on over 1000 records, including for artists like Katy Perry, Cassius, The Prodigy, Kanye West, Nas, Black Eyed Peas, Duke Dumont, Avicii, David Guetta, Chemical Brothers and many more. In 2009, Hal was the Musical Director for Dizzee Rascal's BBC Electric Proms performance and went on to lead and play in Dizzee's live band headlining Glastonbury.

Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.

Sergio Mendes, “the man who put go-go boots on Brazilian music and brought it to the world,” (Billboard) will make a rare Los Angeles appearance when he brings his vivacious bossa nova to The Soraya on Saturday evening, October 27 at 8:00pm. A giant in his genre, Mendes has recorded more than 35 albums over a nearly six-decade career thus far. Joining him to open the evening will be French-Chilean singer Ana Tijoux who debuts her new project, Roja y Negro, new album of acoustic guitar celebrating Latin American folk music. With Mendes and Tijoux on stage, two generations of Latin American artists will share their passion both for traditional and popular music.

Brian Selznick's books, including Wonderstruck and The Invention of Hugo Cabret, are cabinets of wonder, drawing us into their magical tales with child-eyed awe. Both novels drew upon cinematic influences for both story and visual style. On the occasion of the new movie adaptation of Wonderstruck, directed by Todd Haynes, Museum of the Moving Image will present the screening series Inspiring Wonderstruck, featuring some of the movies that inspired both the book and the movie, from October 13 through 22, 2017. On October 14, during the opening weekend of the series, the Museum will present a preview screening of Wonderstruck with Selznick, production designer Mark Friedberg, and costume designer Sandy Powell in person, followed by a book signing with Selznick.
