The Blue Hill Troupe, New York City's only philanthropic musical theater group, will kick off its 98th season with Urinetown: The Musical, a sidesplitting sendup of greed, love, revolution, and musicals-set in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. Tony Award winners Mark Hollmann (music and lyrics) and Greg Kotis (book and lyrics) will attend the show at 2pm on Saturday, November 13, and give a talk-back following the performance.

A new production of THRILL ME: The Leopold & Loeb Story (book, music, and lyrics by Stephen Dolginoff) takes place this weekend at the NuBox theatre in Hell's Kitchen from September 30th to October 3rd.

Both a celebration and a call to action, Expand the Canon demands space in the classical canon for more diverse playwrights, many of whom were underproduced or utterly un-produced in their lifetimes. Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre calls upon the national and international theater community to expand its definition of classical theater and include these brilliant writers and artists in their production seasons, publications, classrooms, and beyond.

Krakowski joins her “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” co-star Tituss Burgess, who will be playing Rooster Hannigan. This comedic duo will join the stage alongside Taraji P. Henson’s Miss Hannigan, Harry Connick Jr.’s Daddy Warbucks, Nicole Scherzinger’s Grace and the recently announced Celina Smith as Annie.

She stars alongside Taraji P. Henson as Miss Hannigan, Harry Connick Jr. as Daddy Warbucks, Nicole Scherzinger as Grace and Tituss Burgess as Rooster. 

Burgess joins a cast that also includes Nicole Scherzinger, Harry Connick Jr., and Taraji P. Henson.

The Al Hirschfeld Foundation will present its latest online exhibition, 'The Dog Show: Hounds by Hirschfeld.' Now live at AlHirschfeldFoundation.org/exhibitions through August 15, the exhibition features drawings of dogs by the artists between 1924-2001.

Taraji P. Henson will take on the iconic role of Miss Hannigan in the upcoming NBC holiday production of Annie Live! The award-winning actress will play opposite a soon-to-be-discovered young star as the network kicks off a nationwide casting search for the titular role of Annie. The live production will air Thursday, Dec. 2 on NBC.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has announced that The Band’s Visit will mark the return of the best of touring Broadway to Pittsburgh in October 2021. Music Director Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra announce the release of the newest album in the ongoing Gustav Mahler symphonies recording series—featuring Mahler’s Tenth Symphony, recorded at Orchestra Hall in June 2019 by Swedish label BIS Records. The album will be released worldwide on Friday, February 5, 2021.
