The Musical Theatre Guild has revealed its 30th Anniversary Season, celebrating three decades of preserving and presenting rarely produced musical theatre works through its acclaimed concert-style productions.
RiverEdge Park in Aurora has added concerts by Third Eye Blind and Six One Five Collective to its 2026 summer season. The performances will take place in July and August as part of an expanded lineup following venue renovations.

A new production of Into the Woods, the classic Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, is now playing at the Greenway Court Theatre. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. L. Doctorow’s best-selling novel of the same name. Ragtime will be presented June 1-26, 2022 (press opening: June 4) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Film and stage legend and two-time Tony Award winner Lauren Bacall, passed away last week (first reported by TMZ) at the age of 89. The legendary actress suffered a massive stroke and died at home (New York City's famous Dakota Building) according to a family member. BroadwayWorld remembers the legend below.
