Brave Spirits Theatre is excited to announce a virtual summer staged reading festival celebrating the history plays of the English early modern stage. A supplement to BST's two-year Shakespeare's Histories project, these plays reveal the breadth and popularity of the history genre during Shakespeare's era. Moved to an online event due to COVID-19, these plays are being planned and performed not only by the Histories ensemble, but also collaborators from across the world.

Blue Man Group, continuing its open run at Chicago's Briar Street Theatre (3133 N. Halsted), will celebrate 'National Cereal Day' Saturday, March 7 by kicking off a month-long cereal-focused food drive. In partnership with Mariano's, the theatrical phenomenon will collect boxes of cereal at the Briar Street Theatre March 7 - April 19, 2020. All cereal will be donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, which provides food to those facing hunger in Chicago and Cook County.

This May, the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF)-Zalmen Mlotek, Artistic Director, Dominick Balletta, Executive Director-will present The Tenth Man, the Tony-nominated play by Paddy Chayefsky (the three-time Academy Award-winning author of Network, Marty, and The Hospital) in a newly commissioned Yiddish translation, directed by Tony Award-nominated director Eleanor Reissa. The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company presents the second season of The EVE Projecta?"a program celebrating female empowerment and the centennial of the 19th Amendment this year. The New York City Center season features acclaimed classics from Graham's repertory alongside works by some of today's top choreographers, including a world premiere by Andrea Miller and recent commissions from Pam Tanowitz and Maxine Doyle and Bobbi Jene Smith. Prima ballerina Diana Vishneva will be a guest star at the gala evening dancing Graham's Deep Song. Music for all of the Graham classics will be played live by The Mannes Orchestra. Performances are Wednesday, April 22 at 7pm (Opening Night Gala), Thursdaya?"Friday, April 23a?"24 at 8pm, Saturday, April 25 at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, April 26 at 2pm.

This February, six exceptionally talented young artists from the world-renowned Kronberg Academy in Germany travel to New York City to make their Carnegie Hall debut over four concerts in Weill Recital Hall and Zankel Hall. Current students - violinist Stephen Waarts, cellist Jonathan Roozeman, and pianists Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula and Mishka Rushdie Momen - along with alumni violinist Marc Bouchkov and violist Matthew Lipman present a wide range of repertoire in programs that reflect the individuality and artistry honed during their studies at the prestigious Academy. In two matinee programs, these musicians perform alongside Kronberg Academy faculty members and acclaimed soloists - violist Antoine Tamestit and cellist Gary Hoffman - while in two evening programs the students and alumni showcase solo and chamber works.
