Curator and producer Peter Musante (Andrew Schneider's YOUARENOWHERE; Blue Man Group; Trusty Sidekick's Up and Away, a groundbreaking show for kids with autism, called 'immersive theater at its most thoughtful' by the New York Times) joins West Coast physical comedienne Summer Shapiro ('raises the craft of clowning to new levels'- NYTheatre.org) to conceive of a new immersive theater festival for the entire family, inspired by the community organizing principles of Jane Jacobs. With seven new works based on true events from Greenwich Village history, the festival brings together leading NYC experimental theatre artists, musicians, physical comedians and clowns for two programs, each consisting of an interactive pre-show and four short stories that bring the surrounding neighborhood to life. The event, recommended for ages 5 and up, is presented by New Ohio Theatre as part of its Theatre for Young Minds holiday series. Due to popular demand, La Jolla Playhouse announces a week-long extension for its upcoming world premiere musical Diana, featuring the Tony Award-winning Memphis creative team of Joe DiPietro (librettist/lyricist), David Bryan (composer/lyricist) and Playhouse Artistic Director and 2017 Tony recipient Christopher Ashley (director), along with Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine (choreographer) and Ian Eisendrath (music supervisor).

Los Angeles-based Beauty in Chaos have announced their impending vinyl release of their debut album 'Finding Beauty in Chaos'. Slated for November 30, 33.3 Music Collective will be offering almost 80 minutes of music, curated by guitarist Michael Ciravolo on deluxe CD and limited-edition heavy weight, colored vinyl. The Orleans Hotel and Casino will bring celebrated entertainment to The Orleans Showroom in December, including exclusive previews of the documentary "Feek's Vision," the holiday shows Home for Christmas with Lani Misalucha and "Merry Christmas Darling: Carpenters' Christmas,"  as well as swing revival group Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Blue Heaven presents twelve distinct comedy acts over two days this February 1 and 2. Let the bells peal!  Ring in the holidays with a classic tale.  Long Island's newest theatrical venue The Argyle Theatrepresents the musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame, based on the novel by Victor Hugo and songs from the Disney film originally developed by Disney Theatrical Productions, with music by Alan Menkin, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and book by Peter Parnell.

Broadway actress-singer Raissa Katona Bennett has a very full and exciting calendar of performances getting underway this week, beginning with the premiere of Spoolie Girl, a new and original fractured rock fairytale by Rosemary Loar. Spoolie Girl runs Oct. 17th through Oct. 27th at Actors Temple Theatre. 

Musical theater actor and Award-winning New York Cabaret performer Rosemary Loar is bringing her original musical SPOOLIE GIRL to the Actors Temple Theatre (339 W 47th St, New York) for a nine-show run from October 17-27. Loar, who wrote the music and lyrics, and co-wrote the book with her late husband Robert Atwood, calls the show “a family-friendly fractured rock fairy tale.” SPOOLIE GIRL is a suddenly orphaned eco-friendly teenager from Kenya who comes to New York City. Wearing magical curlers called “spoolies” in her hair, she is able to read people's thoughts as songs, while navigating a world consisting of her narcissistic, fashionista Aunt, a Fairy Godmother (but way hipper), and a quirky neighbor who walks an invisible dog. And that's her support group. Along with Loar, the cast features Loar, Claire Lilley, and Michiko Sasaki.

Producer Mark Cortale has announced a star-studded lineup for the sixth season of his celebrated Broadway @ NOCCA concert series in New Orleans. Three of Broadway's biggest names will share the marquee with one of opera's premiere stars in 2018-19.

On Tuesday, October 30 at 8:00 p.m., violinist Maxim Vengerov returns to Carnegie Hall for his first recital appearance in more than a decade. Mr. Vengerov is joined by pianist Roustem Saïtkoulov for a recital of violin sonatas and showpieces. The program includes Brahms's Violin Sonata No. 3 in D Minor, Enescu's Violin Sonata No. 2 in F Minor, Ravel's Violin Sonata, Ernst's The Last Rose of Summer, and Paganini's I palpiti (after Rossini's 'Di tanti palpiti' from Tancredi; arr.
