Four women writers of the Harlem Renaissance meet in 'Telling Tales Out of School' by Wesley Brown, directed by Woodie King, Jr. at Castillo Theatre/ASP. The play offers a unique perspective on the Harlem Renaissance by providing a character study of four of its most-noted female prime movers. Check out event information here!

Musical 'BEETLEJUiCE': A musical based on film works by director Tim Burton, known for movies such as 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' It premiered on Broadway in 2019 and garnered significant attention, receiving Tony Award nominations in 8 categories including Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Original Score. In 2021, it was also performed in South Korea, and a North American tour started in 2022. In Japan, it stars Jesse from SixTONES and is directed by Yuichi Fukuda.

Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF) presents Cecilia Duarte, Trio Chapultepec, and percussionist Jesús Pacheco for its 2023-2024 season opener, Reencuentros, on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 7:30pm. The informal performance will take place at Five Boroughs Brewing Company in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, with a subsequent concert on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 7:30pm at Flushing Town Hall in Queens.

China Arts and Entertainment Group will present the U.S. premiere of its award-winning dance drama Mulan, the legendary story of family devotion, loyalty, and love, at The Boch Center Wang Theatre, September 23 – 24, for TWO performances only.

General Director and CEO Deborah Sandler Kemper has announced the commission of two operas created to be presented in community spaces where audiences of all ages gather. The Haberdasher Prince by the twin-sister creative team of composer Rosabella Gregory and librettist Dina Gregory will premiere in April 2024. Maya and the Magic Ring by composer Lori Laitman and librettist Dana Gioia will premiere in spring 2025.

The project kicks off with the bombastic floorfiller “Before the Rap,” which arrives with an equally intense video. The track is followed by Dooda's bluesy single “Mind of a Maniac.” Next up are the sobering “Come After Me” and frenetic hit “Pep Rally,” which highlights the hitmaker's ability to spit truth with ferocity.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will open for the first time in Italy at Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia in Trieste on 4th July 2023. Additional casting has now been announced, including Earl Carpenter as Monsieur Andre and Bradley Jaden as Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny.
