Los Altos Youth Theatre has announced its Summer 2026 production of “Anastasia: Youth Edition,” directed by Brittany “B” Harder. With a talented cast of 23 young performers, ages 10 to 17, this enchanting musical will transport audiences from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the excitement of 1920s Paris. 

With complex characterizations, whip-smart dialogue, and vibrant, shrewd performances, the four women at the center of the show are alive from the second the lights go up.

BWW spoke with Philip ahead of the show’s Toronto Fringe debut to discuss PEDRO THE PENGUIN’s origins as a 10-minute school project, the joys and challenges of writing for young audiences, and why Toronto Fringe is the right home for this piece.

Every aspect of 10 Days in a Madhouse, directed by Joanna Settle, exemplified why opera has the power to bring stories to life in ways that no other genre can.
