Accompanying Marilu on her one-nighter will be musical director Michael Orland on piano.

Broadway newcomer Nichelle Lewis will star as “Dorothy” and lead the cast of The Wiz in the national tour this fall and Broadway return in the Spring of 2024.  Ms. Lewis who hails from Virginia was discovered via a TikTok video, and selected from more than 2,000 submissions for the coveted role.

Popcorn Group, a film, television, and theatre production company founded by filmmaker Charlotte Colbert, has again partnered up with the BBC Writersroom and eight renowned Edinburgh theatre venues to shortlist the best of new writing coming to this year’s Fringe Festival.

The complete ensemble cast has been announced for the all-new production of the Tony Award-winning musical The Wiz! The casting comes in advance of the musical's national tour, which kicks off this fall before returning to Broadway in the Spring of 2024.

Mamma Mia! is a jukebox musical based on songs recorded by Swedish group ABBA. The heroine of the show is Donna, who keeps a tavern on a small Greek island and plans to marry Sophie, her daughter. Trying to figure out who her father is, Sophie invites the three most likely candidates to the wedding, setting the scene for farcical complications.

Highlighted singles include “Moon Journey,' the soundtrack to the live broadcast of the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing, as first heard on CBS News, and “Zoos of The World,” a springy, unpredictable cut taken from a 1970 National Geographic special.
