Internationally renowned award-winning Saxophonist Mike Phillips has released a new smooth jazz single, 'City Lights.'​​​​​​​ 'CITY LIGHTS' was written by Claude Villani and produced by Hamilton Hardin. 'I had the melody for City Lights in my head for years and one day I played it for Mike and he really connected with it and well, the rest is history,' mentions Claude Villani. ELIZABETH IRELAND McCANN, the iconoclastic Broadway producer who won nine Tony Awards during a 60-year career in theater, died after a bout with cancer on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, according to her longtime associate and friend, Kristen Luciani.  She was 90 years old.

In celebration of what would be legendary film and television icon Ricardo Montalbán's 100th birthday in 2020, the historic Hollywood theatre, The Montalbán, whose moniker is “where entertainment begins,” is unveiling new plans to fulfill Ricardo Montalbán's dream of diversity and inclusion. British synthpop stalwarts Nature of Wires present their new double album 'Modus', out on August 16 via Manchester's Analogue Trash label. Comprising 18 tracks, this is 80s-influenced synthpop with a dark edge. The album had its genesis in the late 80s and early 90s, when the band were in the middle of a creative hot streak.

Oakland University's School of Music, Theatre and Dance will present The Who's Tommy, a fast-paced and exhilarating rock opera featuring a thrilling score by the legendary British rock band The Who, from March 21-24 and March 27-31 in the Varner Studio Theatre in Varner Hall.
