Long an annual tradition, Live the Spirit Residency presents the free 24th Englewood Jazz Festival.

'Planet of the Tapes' radio show which airs on LL COOL J's Sirius XM's Rock the Bells Channel with Diamond The Artist aka DTA Experience & Geechie Dan will record a LIVE radio broadcast at the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame in Stony Brook Village (97 Main Street, Stony Brook, NY) on September 17th from 12-5pm. The event is free with general admission ticket purchase.

Ahead of its 25th anniversary on 6 April 2024,  the new cast has been revealed for the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! from Monday 9 October 2023. The production has also extended its booking period to Saturday 28 September 2024 at London’s Novello Theatre, with tickets on sale at 10am tomorrow, Friday 1 September 2023.

General Director and CEO Deborah Sandler Kemper has announced the commission of two operas created to be presented in community spaces where audiences of all ages gather. The Haberdasher Prince by the twin-sister creative team of composer Rosabella Gregory and librettist Dina Gregory will premiere in April 2024. Maya and the Magic Ring by composer Lori Laitman and librettist Dana Gioia will premiere in spring 2025.

Shawnee Mission Park’s “Theatre in the Park,” marks the season with an oddly appropriate July production of “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.” The item up for view and review is a very nice production of Irving Berlin classic songs and the familiar tale based on a 1954 movie of the same name.  There is significantly more Irving Berlin music in the staged musical than in the 1954 film.

Beverly Glenn-Copeland has announced a set of North American tour dates where he’ll play live for the first time in several years.
