All highly accomplished in their respective fields and philanthropic work, they include: Thomas Blumenthal (a Beverly Hills resident), Donald Kivowitz (a West Hollywood resident), Agnes Lew (a San Marino resident) Peter Lowy (a West Los Angeles resident) and Richard Ziman (a Beverly Hills resident). In addition to Nemeroff, The Wallis is led by Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer Rachel Fine and Artistic Director Paul Crewes.

Cannery Casino Hotel's The Club will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock music festival with Woodstock Weekend in August, featuring performances by John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute Fortunate Son, Santana tribute Evil Waze, Crosby, Still and Nash tribute CSN Express and Janis Joplin tribute Kelly Sheehan.

Technically any venue with 500 seats or more, located along Broadway in New York City's Theatre District is a Broadway theatre, and the art that is produced in these special places is widely considered the highest form of theatrical entertainment in the world. Today, forty-one theatres are technically Broadway houses, each with their own rich history. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 120 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 50th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 16-20, 2019 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The Center also announced the national awardees for the KCACTF. Selected awardees and representatives will be brought to Washington, D.C. for an expense-paid trip to participate in the National Festival. These student artists from across the United States have been recognized for their outstanding work from the eight regional festivals that were held January 8 through February 28, 2019.

Celebrate the 91st birthday of the Ohio Theatre with a free concert and singalong showcasing the Ohio's original "Mighty Morton" theatre pipe organ. CAPA featured organist Clark Wilson will replicate the audience singalong performed by former resident organist Roger Garrett on February 16, 1969, as part of the "final performance" at the Ohio Theatre. This will be followed by a concert from world-renowned organist Simon Gledhill featuring music from Broadway, Hollywood, and the Great American Songbook.

 Roy Clark, the legendary 'superpicker', GRAMMY, CMA and ACMaward winner, Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member and co-host of the famed 'Hee Haw' television series, died today at the age of 85 due to complications from pneumonia at home in Tulsa, Okla.

The Minty Organization for the Performing Arts, the non-profit which oversees The Minty Awards, has announced honorees for the 6th Minty Awards Dinner Gala to be held Thursday, January 17 at 7:00pm at Nicotra's Ballroom, The Hilton Garden Inn.
