Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 150 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 48th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 12-16, 2016 in multiple locations throughout the Center. The well-received solo play GERONIMO Life on the Reservation written by Janelle Meraz Hooper, directed by Steve Railsback and performed by veteran actor Rudy Ramos, will host a   Q & A with director Railsback this Saturday, January 30th after the 8:00 pm performance at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, CA.

As BroadwayWorld reported this morning, Bette Midler will indeed return to Broadway in one of the most cherished shows in musical theater history when she takes on the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi in Michael Stewart's (book) and Jerry Herman's (music and lyrics) masterpiece, Hello, Dolly!. Directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, Hello, Dolly! will begin performances on Broadway on March 13, 2017, with an official opening night of April 20, 2017. Rehearsals begin one year from today. The final night of this year's estimable Cabaret Convention, What I Did for Love/Taking a Chance on Love, hosted by Klea Blackhurst, saluted composer/songwriter Vernon Duke in Act I and composer/conductor Marvin Hamlisch during Act II. It was a curious pairing, indeed.

If you want to see one of the most amazing displays of color, you will be thrilled to attend the National Harvest & Cowboy Festival held each fall in beautiful Branson Missouri. You will see hundreds of cowboys sauntering about, as if the entire cast of Oklahoma suddenly blew in with the wind. This is certainly the most gorgeous display of autumn colors I have ever seen in my life.
