San Diego Opera's 2022-2023 Season continues with The Puccini Duo: a double-bill of the tragic Suor Angelica and the witty comic opera Gianni Schicchi on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the San Diego Civic Theatre for four performances. Additional performances are February 14, 17, and 19 (matinee), 2023. All evening performances take place at 7:30 PM, matinees at 2 PM.

In a landmark partnership, Pasadena Playhouse has been collaborating with all of the high schools of Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) over the past 6 months to realize the students’ vision of Into the Woods.

While the series' recurring cast includes Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, and more, guest stars have included Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, Joanna Gleason, Adrienne Warren, Jinkx Monsoon, Norm Lewis, Norbert Leo Butz, and more. Baryshnikov Arts Center has announced the Spring 2023 season of dance, music, and multimedia performances. The season will feature the New York Premiere of AMOC (American Modern Opera Company)’s How to Fall Apart composed by Carolyn Chen, the World Premiere of Eunbi Kim’s music and new media work it feels like a dream and more.

Pasadena Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Danny Feldman announced the latest news for the theater’s upcoming six-month-long celebration of the works and impact of Stephen Sondheim January 26 through June 11, 2023. 

Martin Short has been confirmed to play Lumière; David Alan Grier will play Cogsworth; Rizwan Manji joins the cast as Gaston’s sidekick, LeFou; and Jon Jon Briones will play Belle’s loving father, Maurice. Rising star Leo Abelo Perry will play Chip alongside Shania Twain as Mrs. Potts. They join H.E.R., Rita Moreno, Joshua Henry, and Josh Groban.

Quintessence Theatre Group, Philadelphia's professional classic repertory theatre, begins Season XIII: Celebrating the Extraordinary with Eugène Ionesco’s The Chairs. Directed by Quintessence’s Artistic Director Alexander Burns, The Chairs, full of absurdist philosophy, witty wordplay and slapstick comedy runs through October 23.
