Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Center Theatre Group will present the Los Angeles premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “OKLAHOMA!” directed by Daniel Fish at the Ahmanson Theatre from September 13 through October 16, 2022.

Boyd Gaming will bring highly acclaimed entertainment to The Orleans Hotel and Casino and Cannery Casino Hotel in October. Grammy award winning R&B and jazz artist Jeffrey Osborne and funk band The Commodores will perform at The Orleans Showroom.

The Tony-winning Best musical struts into its MTWichita debut, telling the heartwarming, hilarious, and true story of a faltering shoe factory that saved itself from bankruptcy by embracing a fabulous new clientele. The production will open Wednesday, July 6th and run until Sunday, July 10th.

The Philly POPS continues its 44-year Independence Week tradition with POPS on Independence at Independence Mall on July 3, 2022, at 7 p.m.

The Ford will present a celebration and discovery inspired by LA’s culturally rich neighborhoods and communities. Each unique family event features artmaking, live performance, dancing, or listening with artists. These are daytime events, best for ages 3-11.

Jawan Jackson, who originated the role of Melvin Franklin in Ain't Too Proud, is now an official member of the Temptations! Jackson will be singing bass in the group, replacing Willie Green, who joined the group in 2016.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. L. Doctorow’s best-selling novel of the same name. Ragtime will be presented June 1-26, 2022 (press opening: June 4) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Ballet Tech’s Kids Dance will return to The Joyce Theater (175 Eighth Avenue) with a program devised by the organization’s new artistic director, Dionne D. Figgins. The production celebrates founder Eliot Feld, featuring some of his early Kids Dance pieces as part of Ballet Tech’s expanding repertory.

Joshua Henry will head the cast of Brave New World: The Musical (as World Controller Thomas Mond) for an invitation-only industry reading on May 23rd in Midtown Manhattan. Joining Henry will be Solea Pfeiffer, Ephraim Sykes, and more.

Harmony: A New Musical, starring musical theatre icons Chip Zien (Into the Woods, Caroline, Or Change) and Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid, The Phantom of the Opera), has announced the recording of their original cast album, to be produced by Barry Manilow and co-produced by Lawrence Manchester. Jill Dell'Abate is the Production Manager.

Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).

Barry Manilow has released a statement, sharing that due to testing positive for COVID-19, he will be unable to attend the opening night performance of his musical HARMONY.

People’s Light will present Bayard Rustin Inside Ashland, the world premiere of a play with music inspired by the true story of West Chester, PA native Bayard Rustin. Chief organizer of the 1963 March on Washington and openly gay Civil Rights activist, Bayard Rustin was nearly written out of the history books.

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for the first two shows of its 2022 season: the 1978 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show, and the world premiere play, Andy Warhol in Iran by Brent Askari (BSC’s American Underground) which opens the St. Germain Stage from June 2-25.
