Playwrights Horizons (Adam Greenfield, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has extended the New York premiere of Bruce Norris's provocative, critically lauded play Downstate, directed by Pam MacKinnon, a second and final time, to January 7, 2023.

The National Geographic documentary film The Flagmakers is being adapted into a stage musical directed by Saheem Ali. John J. Caswell Jr. is adapting the film for the stage. Mark Gordon Pictures executive produced the film and was quick to secure the rights to turn it into a musical.

Theatre for a New Audience has announced new preview, press, and opening dates for Denis Johnson’s Des Moines. Due to the detection of Covid within the Des Moines company, performances November 29 – December 3 have been canceled, with the production now beginning December 4.
