Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD) presents "Defiance" by John Patrick Shanley, directed by BTE Ensemble Member Kurt Naebig, Jan. 31-March 3. Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 210th season with the uproarious Ken Ludwig's A COMEDY OF TENORS. Directed by and starring Frank Ferrante, this over-top-top comedy from Tony Winner Ken Ludwig begins previews on January 15th, opens on January 23rd, and runs through March 3rd on the Walnut's Mainstage.

After her Off Broadway triumph, Monica Piper brings her hit comedy NOT THAT JEWISH to Los Angeles where it was originally developed and ran for almost a year. Celebrated actress Erin Davie, who made her Broadway debut (and won a Theatre World Award) for her breakthrough performance as Young 'Edie' Beale in Broadway's GREY GARDENS opposite Christine Ebersole, has been cast in the lead role of Bella Kurnitz in Neil Simon's Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning masterpiece LOST IN YONKERS (Ms. Davie will take on the role which won Mercedes Ruehl a Tony Award for Best Actress In 1991, a role she also recreated in the 1993 film version). 

The Classics Theatre Project's Artistic Director Joey Folsom today announced the Company's 2019 3-play season of all-American classics. The season starts with Neil Simon's comedy "Rumors" (March 7 - 31, 2019), followed by Tennessee Williams's "Summer and Smoke" (May 29-June 23, 2019), and concluding with Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" (dates TBA).
