Porchlight Music Theatre announces its newest virtual offering, the first online production of its New Faces Sing Broadway series, New Faces Sing Broadway 1987, hosted by Larry Adams, directed by Christopher Pazdernik and with music direction and arrangements by David Fiorello.

Porchlight Music Theatre has announced its schedule for fall 2020, offering a variety of free and pay-to-view options for virtual experiences.

The renaming of the theatre was dedicated to Stephen Sondheim, the greatest and best known artist in American musical theatre on his 80th birthday. 

Fall into the exciting new original series and A-list blockbuster movies arriving this September on HBO Max.

Finding inspiration from The New York Times Magazine's “1619 Project,” James Weldon Johnson's “Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing” as well as the work of historian Taylor Branch, Grammy-award winning pianist, singer and songwriter Bruce Hornsby debuts “Bright Star Cast.”

Earlier this year, it was announced that a new kind of princess is officially coming back to the stage.  Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical Cinderella will premiere at The Gillian Lynne Theatre in London next year, putting an all new spin on a beloved classic.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary with a ceremony held in the iconic Grand Hall of Battersea Arts Centre on Sunday 8 March 2020, the Off West End Awards once again celebrated the best of independent, fringe and alternative theatres across London.

I wish....more than anything that the Red Curtain would have extended their run of INTO THE WOODS just a little longer, because I knew of other people who had scheduling conflicts, but really wanted to see it. And they should have seen it. It was comparable to the 1987 Broadway version. I ended up catching the last show of the run on Sunday, February 23, at Staples Auditorium at Hendrix College, and though I thought the audience lacked in energy, the cast pushed on through their wishes like pros.

Into the Woods is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales in a musical format that follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel-all tied together by an original story.
