The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) and Broadway in Columbus today announced the next exciting lineup for the PNC Broadway in Columbus series. The six-show 2020-21 season, supported in part by PNC, includes four productions never before seen in Columbusa?"the Tony Award-winning Come From Away, the dazzling musical production of the beloved movie Pretty Woman: The Musical, Disney's newest spectacular Broadway musical, Frozen, and winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, Hadestown. The season also includes the acclaimed new production of Fiddler on the Roof and the record-breaking, classic musical, CATS.

A new adaptation of Charlotte Perkins Gilman's The Yellow Wallpaper opened this weekend at IRT theater in Greenwich Village. The multimedia staging will run until Oct 13th.

The 30th anniversary season of the Bard Music Festival a?" an exploration of a?oeKorngold and His Worlda?? a?" opens this Friday, August 9, with Weekend One: Korngold and Vienna. The first of the weekend's six themed concerts, Program One: a?oeErich Wolfgang Korngold: From Viennese Prodigy to Hollywood Master,a?? offers a broad overview of the composer's multi-faceted career.

BYT Media presents the New York City edition of Death Becomes Us - A True Crime Festival. The multi day event is the second edition of the festival, which saw its premiere edition in Washington D.C. in 2018. It is also the first of its kind in New York City, expecting to attract upwards of 6,000 attendees across its venues, which include Gramercy Theatre, Town Hall, Nitehawk Cinema, Strand Bookstore and more between March 20-24th, with warm up events and content leading up to it.

Many have, of course, heard of the infamous Lizzie Borden, a young woman, who was charged with---but later acquitted of---the brutal axe murders of her father and stepmother in 1892. Strong curiosity and speculation remain til this day about the tragic events that took place more than a century ago, resulting in countless retellings of Borden's story using a variety of different mediums---everything from movies and television to literature and, yes, stage works. The latest iteration of her story is, arguably, its most out-of-the-box depiction yet: LIZZIE THE MUSICAL, an engaging, ferociously explosive punk rock opera first presented in 2010 and is now having its regional premiere performances at Chance Theater in Anaheim through March 3, 2019. While certainly not the definitive retelling for the Borden scandal, the show itself is an entertaining show elevated by a quartet of fierce women with a lot of feelings to express.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's 56th season leaps into the chill of autumn with a classic that will warm the hearts of people of all ages. Charley's Aunt, the hilarious late 19th century comedy of manners by Brandon Thomas, will be presented for the first time on the STNJ stage. Joseph Discher returns to direct. Returning company favorites John Ahlin, Peter Simon Hilton, David Andrew Macdonald, and Erika Rolfsrud are featured amongst the cast of 10 that will bring this delightful farce to life. The Human Race Theatre Company (HRTC) is proud to introduce the lineup for its 2018-2019 Eichelberger Loft Series - a five-show collection of works that examines specific moments in history-real and imaginary, corrects ancient history and revisits a part of the company's own history. The season, featuring one fierce musical and four engaging plays, begins September 6, 2018. In addition to the fully-produced works on the Loft Series, HRTC is launching a new Monday Night Playreading Series with the table readings of three diverse, crowd-pleasing scripts.

This riotous 1892 comedy of a marriage caught between the big city and a small town, makes a triumphant return to the New York stage for the first time since its premiere.

Ahead of the opening of priority booking for Friends of the Festival on Saturday, 24 March, details of the full programme for the 67th Wexford Festival Opera are announced. Continuing its tradition of presenting the 'best operas rarely seen', this year's Festival includes a verismo double-bill, a European premiere and a classic Wexford offering involving kidnapping, murder, arson and a posh New York dinner party that doesn't quite go to plan! All this plus three daytime ShortWorks operas, concerts, recitals, theatre and talks. 62 public events over the autumn 17-day period.

Obie Award winning Metropolitan Playhouse revives A Marriage Contract, Augustin Daly's uproarious and poignant commentary on marriage, family, and the contrast between county and city life. Staged by Artistic Director Alex Roe at Metropolitan Playhouse, 220 E. 4th Street, New York City. This production marks, to our knowledge, the first time the play is being presented since 1892 premiere. It is worth noting that the script only exists in manuscript form and was never published.

Falls directs his adaptation, based on a translation by Eleanor Marx-Aveling, with a cast featuring Philip Earl Johnson as Thomas Stockmann, doctor and chief medical officer of the baths; Scott Jaeck as Peter Stockmann, Thomas' older brother and town mayor; Lanise Antoine Shelley as Katherine, Thomas' wife; Rebecca Hurd as Thomas' daughter, Petra. Rounding out the cast are Jesse Bhamrah (Billing), David Darlow (Morten Kiil), Allen Gilmore (Aslaksen), Aubrey Deeker Hernandez (Hovstad), Larry Neumann, Jr. (The Drunk) and Carley Cornelius, Arya Daire, Guy Massey, Roderick Peeples and Dustin Whitehead as townspeople.

Sundance Institute showcases bold, independent storytelling at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, beginning with today's announcement of feature films selected across all categories. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 18 28.

Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas (MTT) and the San Francisco Symphony (SFS) today announced plans for the 2017-18 season, comprising more than 200 concerts in eleven months presented at Davies Symphony Hall. The Orchestra's 106th season is highlighted by musical touchstones that are trademarks of MTT's artistic vision for the Orchestra.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the iconic classic drama A Doll's House, by Henrik Ibsen, adapted by Bryony Lavery, and directed by Boston favorite Melia Bensussen (Awake and Sing!, Luck of the Irish, and Circle Mirror Transformation at the Huntington). Performances run January 6 - February 5, 2017 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.
