Dorset Theatre Festival announces its 42nd Season, featuring the classic revival of Noel Coward's Private Lives directed by Evan Yionoulis (June 20 - July 6), the World Premiere of Dig, written and directed by Theresa Rebeck (July 11 - 27), the World Premiere of Mrs. Christie by Heidi Armbruster, directed by Giovanna Sardelli  (August 1 - 17), Slow Food by Wendy MacLeod, directed by Jackson Gay (August 22 - 31), and Pipeline Series: Three New Works in Process (July 2, July 23, and August 13). Superhero -a new musical about a fractured family, the mysterious stranger in apartment 4-B, and the unexpected hero who just might save the day- is captivating audiences, and making a heroic splash off-Broadway- so much so, that this new, adventurous musical scored itself an extended run.

Nassim Soleimanpour is an Iranian playwright whose new play NASSIM is currently being presented by Barrow Street Theatricals at New York City Center Stage II. NASSIM has previously played to sold-out audiences across the globe and features a unique set-up of a new guest actor at each performance who has not read or rehearsed the play. Soleimanpour previously explored this concept in his play WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT, which ran Off-Broadway for nine months in 2016. So far in its run, NASSIM has been performed by guest actors such as Michael Urie, Tatiana Maslany, Beth Malone, Ethan Slater, Kate Walsh and many more. Nassim Soleimanpour talked to BroadwayWorld about working with these amazing guest artists, how NASSIM differs from WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT, and the difficult process that almost didn't allowed him to be in the country for the play's American premiere.

Brandi Carlile performs a solo, acoustic rendition of her Grammy Award-winning single, “The Joke,” on today's episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Carlile also joins host Ellen DeGeneres for an interview. Prime Cut Productions has announced further details for Removed, a brand new play inspired by interviews with young people growing up in care in Northern Ireland, created in collaboration with playwright Fionnuala Kennedy and Voice Of Young People In Care (VOYPIC), and in association with Young at Art. Removed will receive its world premiere at Belfast Children's Festival on Saturday 9 March and run from 07 to 16 March 2019 at the Brian Friel Theatre.
