Sarasota Orchestra has revealed the four exhibitions that will take place at the Orchestra's Harmony Gallery during the 2023-2024 season, including a special collaboration with Booker High School featuring works by students from the school's venerated Visual and Performing Arts program.

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene has revealed the complete cast for Amid Falling Walls (Tsvishn Falndike Vent).

Symphony in C kicks off the 2023-2024 season at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts on November 4. Music Director Noam Aviel makes her debut conducting Smetana, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff, featuring pianist Harmony Zhu. MPAC presents two events for families with children in September. Disney Junior Live: Costume Palooza, featuring popular characters from Disney Junior shows, takes the stage for two shows on Saturday, September 16.  Story Pirates: The Amazing Adventure Tour, based on the popular podcast in which actors create stories based on children’s ideas, performs two shows on Sunday, September 24.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, I had the excellent opportunity to sit down with Eric Sciotto, Director and Choreographer of Rock of Ages at MTWichita, and Brian J. Marcum, Artistic Director at MTWichita. It was a wide ranging interview, with a very stream of consciousness feel, and they were gracious enough to grant me an hour over a lunch break during rehearsal last Tuesday. The energy was high, and I was able to get some excellent insight into Eric’s choreographic process. I also spoke to Brian about leading MTWichita into a new era.

Producers Sonia Friedman and Tom Kirdahy have announced that the brand new Kander & Ebb musical, NEW YORK, NEW YORK, will begin performances on Broadway Friday, March 24, 2023 and officially open Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Broadway’s St. James Theatre.
