La MaMa and The Public’s Under the Radar Festival will present King Gilgamesh & the Man of the Wild, bringing to New York audiences a moving one-act production that fuses live music with storytelling to share co-creator’s Ahmed Moneka's personal journey as an Iraqi actor-refugee in North America.

The 2022 Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy Fat Ham by James Ijames will make its Broadway premiere in 2023. The Public Theater has announced casting for the world premiere of THE HARDER THEY COME, a musical adaptation of the classic Jamaican film produced and directed by Perry Henzell and co-written with Trevor Rhone.

The Mississippi Museum of Art will present Jamal Cyrus: The End of My Beginning, the first museum survey of celebrated Houston-born artist Jamal Cyrus (b.1973). On view from October 29, 2022 - March 3, 2023, the exhibition spans 15 formative years of Cyrus's multidisciplinary practice from 2005 to 2020.
