With their production of Sasha Hails’ Possession about to open at the company’s home base, Arcola Theatre, led by Artistic Director Mehmet Ergen and Executive Director Leyla Nazli, has announced their new season.

Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) and Kate Maguire (Artistic Director, CEO) have announced casting for two of its summer 2023 shows: Million Dollar Quartet, a three-time Tony Award–nominated once-in-a-lifetime musical evening back by popular demand with some of the same cast as 2017 and Photograph 51, an intriguing portrait of the race to discover the mysteries of the DNA double helix. 

Diversionary Theatre has announced its 2023/2024 season: the San Diego premiere of Dragon Mama (September/October 2023) by Sara Porkalob and directed by Andrew Russell; the legacy revival of The Glass Menagerie (November/December 2023) by Tennessee Williams and directed by Lisa Berger with Shana Wride taking on the iconic role of Amanda Wingfield; the West Coast premiere of Notes on Killing Seven Oversight, Management and Economic Stability Board Members (May/June, 2024) a co-production with Moxie Theatre by Mara Vélez Meléndez and a director to be announced; the world-premiere musical TL;DR: Thelma Louise; Dyke Remix (May/June, 2024) by EllaRose Chary and Brandon Gwinn, directed by Sherri Eden Barber.

This month, 54 BELOW will present some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Kwame Kwei-Armah will become Artistic Advisor at Manhattan Theatre Club beginning in the 2023-24 season. Kwei-Armah, who will remain in his role as Artistic Director of the Young Vic in London, will work with Meadow and the MTC artistic staff, advising on programming and future planning.

The Cape Cod Theatre Project (CCTP) announces its 2023 Season of New Plays, running Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 PM ET from June 29th-July 22nd at Falmouth Academy's Simon Center for the Arts. For the second consecutive year, CCTP will highlight female voices, with workshops of staged readings by Steph Del Rosso (June 29-July 1), May Treuhaft-Ali (July 6-July 8), Fernanda Coppel (July 13-15) and Mary Elizabeth Hamilton (July 20-22).

The multi award-winning comedian, Taskmaster icon, star of her acclaimed BBC Radio 4 series, Netflix stand-up special and upcoming Channel 4 sitcom (The Change) – Bridget Christie – plays the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, alongside performances from several specially-chosen special guests. 

MUSE/IQUE honors Duke Ellington in performances entitled THE DUKE: Ellington as America's Ultimate Renaissance Man, conducted by Artistic and Music Director Rachael Worby, Sunday, May 21, 7:30 pm at the Skirball Cultural Center in West Los Angeles and Wednesday, May 24, 7:30 pm at the Huntington Library in San Marino.

Rhode Island College's Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts will present ART SONG TO ARIA featuring RIC's Artist-in-Residence Judith Lynn Stillman, pianist, with GRAMMY Award-winning, Metropolitan Opera superstar baritone Will Liverman in his first appearance in Rhode Island, on Sunday, June 4th at 3pm.

MB Stage Productions will present Ghosts Can't Pay Rent at the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival.
