A world premiere short puppet film about an African-American child in Chicago navigating the Covid-19 pandemic is the first new work to emerge from the Springboard Project, a new initiative launched in 2020 by Chicago Children’s Theatre to foster new works for young audiences by diverse local writers.

An encore presentation of Aunt Leaf, a ghost story inspired by American and Mexican folklore and a haunting Mary Oliver poem, will be presented in English and Spanish by Ancram Opera House in collaboration with Plan B Estudio Teatro of Torreón Mexico. A star cast will join Brian Conley in the new, musical staged concert of Alan Menken, Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent's A Christmas Carol, which is set to play a strictly limited season at the Dominion Theatre in London. Performances run from Monday 7 December 2020 to Saturday 2 January 2021.
