Holloway is the president-elect of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey; he will assume the presidency on July 1, 2020. The Madison Square Garden Company and Metropolitan Entertainment announced today that standup comedian Joe Rogan will be making his Madison Square Garden debut on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 8PM, as part of his Sacred Clown Tour. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 28 at 9:00AM.

The Metropolitan Opera will present a new production of Wagner's early masterpiece Der Fliegende Holländer on March 2, 2020, with performances continuing through March 27. Valery Gergiev conducts the new staging from director François Girard, whose interpretation is centered on the young woman Senta's obsession with a portrait of the Dutchman.

Allen MacInnis has announced that he will step down as Artistic Director of Toronto's Young People's Theatre (YPT) at the end of the 2020.21 season, after 19 outstanding years. The Metropolitan Opera today announced that the Met Orchestra will tour Europe in the summer of 2021, immediately following its annual residency at Carnegie Hall. With all performances conducted by the Met's Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, the tour includes stops at the Barbican Centre in London on June 29, 2021; the Philharmonie in Paris on June 30 and July 1, 2021; and the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, Germany, on July 3 and 4, 2021. The Broadway community mourns the loss of multiple Tony Award® winning producer Margo Lion, who died on January 24, 2020 at age 75. The Madison Square Garden Company announced today that legendary musician and MSG music franchise Billy Joel will continue his record-breaking monthly residency on August 3, 2020 with his 79th consecutive show at Madison Square Garden. Jeff Parry was raised in Ottawa, ON. His love of music began when he was 9 years old when he fell in love with The Beatles. He has always had a passion for. music, so after University, he moved out west to try to raise money to open a record store in Ottawa. He wound up staying in Alberta and rather than open a record store, in 1978, he started a concert promotion business, producing tribute shows. That evolved into becoming an agent and ultimately, a theatrical producer. I had the chance to speak with Parry on the eve of the Montreal run of the award winning musical, WE WILL ROCK YOU, a jukebox musical based on the songs of British rock band Queen with a book by Ben Elton, which lands in Montreal on February 10.

Broadcasters Fi Glover and Jane Garvey are to embark on a brand-new tour with their live show of smash hit BBC Radio 4 podcast Fortunatelya?? with Fi and Jane. This is the first podcast licence tour arrangement that BBC Radio 4 have embarked on with a commercial partner.
