Denver Center for the Performing Arts announced today that To Kill a Mockingbird, Aaron Sorkin's new play, directed by Bartlett Sher and starring Richard Thomas, and based on Harper Lee's classic novel, will play The Ellie Caulkins Opera House July 13-August 1, 2021 as part of both the Broadway & Theatre Company 2020/21 full season subscription packages. A public on-sale will be announced at a later date. Please note that the remaining 2020/21 DCPA Broadway Season subscription package and added attraction titles will be announced on March 9. The remaining 2020/21 Theatre Company titles will be announced on February 21.

This fall, The Broad will launch a new survey-the largest held to date-of internationally acclaimed artist Shirin Neshat's work. The exhibition, Shirin Neshat: I Will Greet the Sun Again, will be on view from October 19, 2019, through February 16, 2020, and is the renowned multidisciplinary artist's first major exhibition to take place in the western United States.

Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the heart of the nation's capital. The tour will be on the road for over two years. According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage and screen star Richard Thomas will lead the production as Atticus Finch.

The now history-making gross of $40,113,926.13, was set this week. To Kill a Mockingbird opened to critical acclaim at the Shubert Theatre on Thursday, December 13, 2018.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today special events and programming for the month of March as part of the The Sean O'Casey Season, a comprehensive retrospective of the work of renowned Irish playwright Sean O'Casey, celebrating 30 years of Irish Repertory Theatre.

The Apollo Theater and SiriusXM announced today that they will present Say It Loud…With Your VOTE!, a bi-partisan political special at the Apollo on Thursday, November 1 at 7:00 pm.  The exclusive event, produced in association with SiriusXM, is part of the Apollo Theater Uptown Hall series and will air across multiple SiriusXM channels debuting on November 2.

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts. In celebration of Black History Month, co-producers Megan Smith and Alphonso Walker Jr. present a fresh revival of Dutchman by Amiri Baraka, an emotionally charged and highly symbolic version of the Adam and Eve story. Directed by Broadway performer and director, DeMone, this production has an immersive concept, leading the audience into a recreation of the subway atmosphere and seating audience directly in the train car. The play runs February 8-11, 2018 at The Secret Theatre; tickets on sale now.

Theater Program presents its fourth annual production, Anything Goes, directed by 5th Avenue Theatre Casting Director Kelsey Thorgalsen. The show runs March 9th though 18th, with previews March 7th and 8th, at the Floyd and Delores Jones Playhouse at 4045 University Way NE.
