Jon Culshaw will star as 'Bill Bryson' in a brand-new stage production of Bryson's award-winning memoir NOTES FROM A SMALL ISLAND adapted by BAFTA and Olivier Award winning playwright Tim Whitnall. Directed by the Watermill's Artistic Director Paul Hart, the production will have its world premiere in Newbury on Thursday 24 September and play until Saturday 31 October, with a national press night on Monday 28 September. The production will then tour to Malvern, Cambridge, and Richmond, with further dates to announced.

Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM), in partnership with Broadway Across America (BAA), has announced the full lineup of Broadway shows coming to Dallas in the 2020-2021 season. The eight-show lineup features fan-favorites, fresh adaptations, and seven Tony Award® winners including 2019's Best Musical, HADESTOWN. Season tickets will go on sale at 12 p.m. on Friday, January 17.

Alan Gilbert has been named as Music Director of the Royal Swedish Opera, where he looks forward to launching his tenure in spring 2021. He will combine the role with his position as Chief Conductor of Hamburg's NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, which he has held since September 2019, after eight years as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic.

Featuring guest soloist and klezmer superstar David Krakauer, the program includes the Boston premiere of Mathew Rosenblum's searing clarinet concerto Lament/Witches' Sabbath, Wlad Marhulets's Concerto for Klezmer Clarinet, and Avner Dorman's Ellef Symphony and Uriah.

Country star Jamey Johnson presented FORD with an RIAA gold certified plaque marking sales of more than 500,000 units of Ride Through The Country, FORD's debut album released in 2008 featuring Johnson on the track, 'Cold Beer.'

The filming of Young Wallander has just begun - the new Netflix original series based on Henning Mankell's best-selling Kurt Wallander novels.
