Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts,  which brings audiences world-class theater, dance and music performed by many of the most sought-after artists,presents Chris Walden Big Band with a program that pays tribute to the "Rat Pack" era on Saturday, October 27, 2018, 7:30 pm,in the Bram Goldsmith Theater at The Wallis. Walden, a seven-time Grammy-nominated composer/arranger/conductor, has scored more than 40 feature and TV films and written more than 1,500 orchestral and big band arrangements for artists ranging from Aretha Franklin, Paul McCartney and Barbra Streisand to Diana Krall and Rihanna, among many others.

Fall activities for the Centennial, which begins this month and extends through all of 2019, include a wide range of performances, film screenings, discussions, education initiatives, and new works by other artists in conversation with Cunningham's work.

University of Montana's Montana Repertory Theatre presents its Fall Educational Outreach Tour of Morgan and Merlin. Written by playwright Laramie Dean and directed by Rosie Ayers, this magical and mystical tale whisks us to another time and place where knights and dragons, kings and wizards rub elbows with a modern day sorceress with a fantastic surprise up her bejeweled sleeve. Played out by only two actors, the 50-minute play features puppetry, vocal recordings, and theatrical effects.

Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical is hitting the road! The critically acclaimed new musical based on one of the best-selling albums of all time, will launch a nineteen city North American tour at Detroit's Fox Theatre this November following an eagerly anticipated return engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre. Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical is currently playing an extended smash hit engagement in London's West End where it won the 2017 Evening Standard Award for Best Musical.

A reading of Indonesian playwright N. Riantiarno's Time Bomb, was the first of three plays featured in the Inaugural Columbia University School of the Arts International Play Reading Festival, organized by Dean Carol Becker and David Henry Hwang, at the Flexible Performance Space, Lenfest Center for the Arts in New York on June 15, 2018.

Columbia University School of the Arts is thrilled to announce its inaugural International Play Reading Festival, set to take place in the new Lenfest Center for the Arts from June 15 to 17, 2018. Organized by Dean Carol Becker and David Henry Hwang, the festival will present readings of three plays by living international playwrights that were not originally written in English:  

Lights. Camera. Music. Experience the magic of the 2018-19 "At the Movies" series starting this fall at Severance Hall, featuring three classic films: Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog, Rebel Without a Cause - starring James Dean, and Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Film fans, music lovers, and everyone in between will relive the thrills, memories, and adventures of iconic films in high-definition on the giant screen - all with live accompaniment.

On Monday, June 18, 2018, the theater world and New York communities will come together for Broadway Sings for Pride's 8th annual charity concert entitled "Revolution"!  Hair co-creator James Rado (Grammy-Award Winner) and Hair original choreographer Julie Arenal (Broadway/West End) will join over 35 tribe members to celebrate Pride with a special Hair reunion musical performance during the event.

Theatre Forward is pleased to announce the inaugural recipients of its Advancing Strong Theatre grant program, an initiative focused on funding and promoting greater access and opportunity in the American Theatre.  Advancing Strong Theatre seeks to accelerate change in the areas of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) by providing the resources for recipients to explore, initiate or deepen collaborative relationships with those from a group currently under-represented in the activities of the theatre as audience members or participants in other programs.

It's a month of legends at Blue Note Hawaii with the Godfather of British Blues John Mayall, one of the most celebrated vocalists of our time, Dionne Warwick, and the band of reggae legend Bob Marley, The Wailers, all gracing the stage this May at Blue Note Hawaii. Local favorite Leipono kick us off on May Day, followed by Kuana Torres Kahele in his tribute to the island of Maui featuring Amy Hanaiali'i. There's a night of Hawaii Jazz All Stars with Josh Kaye and Mike Lewis, welcoming some of the island's best jazz musicians. The Island 98.5 Rocksteady Reggae Series continues this month with the formidable Wailing Souls and The Wailers. Celebrate Mother's Day weekend with ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro, and the incomparable Willie K returns to the stage. Musical tributes this month from Mike Lewis & Friends include Thelonious Monk, Chuck Mangione, Chet Baker and Sade and Josh Kaye & Friends will pay homage to the great Aretha Franklin featuring vocalist Sherry Graham. The Honolulu Jazz Quartet will present a tribute to Broadway Classics with a jazz twist

This spring, the Vancouver Art Gallery presents Offsite: Shigeru Ban. This exhibition organized by the Gallery's Institute of Asian Art features the full-scale version of renowned Japanese architect Shigeru Ban's Kobe Paper Log House at the Gallery's Offsite location (1100 West Georgia Street).

Featuring seven productions, New Rep's 2018-2019 season includes Straight White Men, a searing satirical comedy and New England Premiere; We Will Not Be Silent, a compelling historical drama and New England Premiere; 1776, a spirited musical revival; Heartland, an evocative existential drama and a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere; Still Standing, an inspirational one-woman musical; and Cardboard Piano, an engaging socio-political drama and New England Premiere. Becoming Dr. Ruth will replace Vieux Carre as the final production during the season, a compelling one-woman show about the world's most famous sex therapist, Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre (Tisa Chang, Founding Artistic Producing Director), continuing its 41st milestone season on themes of social justice and historic amnesia, presents the world premiere of the new play Daybreak by Joyce van Dyke (A Girl's War).  Performances BEGIN TOMORROW, April 21, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 13, 2018 at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street).  Opening Night is Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Magician Chris Wheel and Mindreader Dustin Dean have announced their show, " Vice Versa, " a night of magic, mystery and the unexpected. The event will take place in The Oncenter Bevard Studio ( 590 S. State Street ) on Friday, June 1st at 7 : 00 p.m. The first show of its kind in the area, the exclusive show features Wheel's exquisite sleight of hand magic and illusions along with Dean's amazing ability to read thoughts from the audience.

Fort Lauderdale Mayor and LGBTQ Advocate Dean Trantalis will be the recipient of the first-ever Pride Center at Equality Park 'Alan Schubert Award of Excellence ' during the fourth annual Diversity Honors presented by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida at 7 p.m. on April 27 at the Hard Rock Event Center. The globally renowned gala benefitting Harvey Milk Foundation and The Pride Center at Equality Park will also recognize Dolores Huerta, preeminent leader of the Latino, Labor and Women's Civil Rights Movement, with the Harvey Milk Foundation Honors Medal plus honor Craig Stevens, WSVN-TV anchor, David Richardson, Florida State Representative serving District 113 and current primary candidate for Congress in Florida's 27th District and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Gay-Straight Alliance for their local efforts in making a significant impact on improving the quality of life for the LGBTQ community.

To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James.
