'An Evening of Whimsy, Wizardry and Wine' will take place at New York's premiere theatrical bookstore April 22 at 6:30pm, celebrating the release of the critically acclaimed new biography, 'Beating a Dead Horse: The Life and Times of Jay Marshall.' Emmy Award-winning talk show host Dick Cavett will interview Emmy Award-winning writer and author Alexander 'Sandy' Marshall about his father, dean of American magicians, Renaissance man, Jay Marshall 'The most famous celebrity no one ever heard of.'

Legendary costume designer ALBERT WOLSKY and world renowned scenic designer MING CHO LEE are among the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 23 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Two-time Academy Award-winner Albert Wolsky will receive the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer and educator Ming Cho Lee will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.

Pride Films and Plays, a new not-for-profit, is proud to announce its inaugural activities as an organization. The first two events scheduled are Five Decades of Great Gay Theater, May 9 - June 13, a series of staged reading of great gay plays, Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 West Belmont*, and the Great Gay Screenplay Contest, held in conjunction with Chicago Filmmakers. The contest seeks new screenplays dealing with gay history, characters or themes and relevant to the world. The semi-finalists will be read this fall during Reeling: The Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival.

Undermain Theatre presents the fourth and final production of its 26thseason: Samuel Beckett's iconic masterpiece ENDGAME directed by Stan Wojewodski, Jr. presented at Undermain Theatre, 3200 Main Street in Dallas.
