He died in his sleep at his home in Los Angeles on April 23, 2023 (407 years to the day after Shakespeare's death).

The V&A has announced it will secure the archive of David Bowie for the nation – revealing the creative processes of one of the most pioneering and influential figures in the history of live and recorded music, film, fashion and beyond.
