Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of Sister Act on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through Sunday, January 6, 2019. Previews will be on Wednesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 15, 2018. With music by Alan Menken, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, lyrics by Glenn Slater and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane, this uplifting musical comedy is based on the hit 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg.

Flying in the face of industry trends and declining PUT levels, Comedy Central completed its fiscal year as one of only three Top 20 cable networks to grow or maintain year-over-year ratings levels. The #1 brand in comedy, which finished the year strong with a +3% increase in primetime among Adults 18-49 for the recently-completed quarter, ended the fiscal year with a 0.185 rating in total day among the key demographic, precisely flat to the 0.185 A18-49 rating for its prior fiscal year.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) presents a new play workshop of Lia Romeo's The Forest, a touching new dark comedy about a mother and daughter who experience extreme change in their lives. Romeo will collaborate with FST's Artistic staff on furthering the work from October 22-26, culminating in a staged reading of the play on Friday, October 26 at 3 PM in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre. This event is presented as part of FST's expanding New Play Development program, and is free and open to the public, however, reservations are required. Where his previous album It Is But It's Not attempted to explore the interaction of opposing elements in the universe, Inner Dynamics finds Theodore looking inward to examine the dualities of his own identity in search of new creative potential. The album 'Disorientation” begins with mystifying whispers, and a pulsating bass until Theodore's heavy-hearted voice brings in dream-induced dramatism.
