Ben Aldridge has been cast in the lead role of Thomas Wayne in the upcoming EPIX drama series PENNYWORTH, from Warner Horizon Scripted Television and based on the characters from DC.

The new musical comedy Beetlejuice will open on Broadway at the Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway) on April 25, 2019, but first the musical will have its world premiere at the National Theatre in Washington D.C., officially opening on Sunday, November 4, 2018.

Jack Bannon has been cast in the lead role of Alfred Pennyworth in the upcoming EPIX drama series PENNYWORTH, from Warner Horizon Scripted Television and based on the characters from DC.

Betrayed by authorities and forced to survive no matter the cost, ONAJE opens in the 1980s with an explosive encounter that threatens to uncover long-buried secrets from a desperate past. Written by Robert Bowie, Jr., directed by Pat Golden, and produced by Susan Conover Marinello, ONAJE will run for five performances, October 13 - 21, in New York City.

NETworks Presentations, LLC, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Unique Features, bring the Broadway musical ELF to the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. for the Dec. 18-23, 2018 engagement. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, ELF, is part of the Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans 2018-2019 season.

CBS today announced an all-star lineup of Drew Barrymore, RuPaul Charles, James Corden and Faith Hill for THE WORLD'S BEST, a new global talent competition series from two of the most prolific unscripted producers in television, Mike Darnell (“American Idol” and “Ellen's Game of Games”) and Mark Burnett (SURVIVOR, “The Voice”).

HBO is developing a comedy series with Jason Kim and Greta Lee about Los Angeles' Koreatown neighborhood, according to Variety.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of Sister Act on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the November Theatre/Arenstein Stage, 114 West Broad Street. The show will run through Sunday, January 6, 2019.  Previews will be on Wednesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 15, 2018. With music by Alan Menken, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner, lyrics by Glenn Slater and additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane, this uplifting musical comedy is based on the hit 1992 movie starring Whoopi Goldberg.

Flying in the face of industry trends and declining PUT levels, Comedy Central completed its fiscal year as one of only three Top 20 cable networks to grow or maintain year-over-year ratings levels. The #1 brand in comedy, which finished the year strong with a +3% increase in primetime among Adults 18-49 for the recently-completed quarter, ended the fiscal year with a 0.185 rating in total day among the key demographic, precisely flat to the 0.185 A18-49 rating for its prior fiscal year.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) presents a new play workshop of Lia Romeo's The Forest, a touching new dark comedy about a mother and daughter who experience extreme change in their lives. Romeo will collaborate with FST's Artistic staff on furthering the work from October 22-26, culminating in a staged reading of the play on Friday, October 26 at 3 PM in FST's Bowne's Lab Theatre. This event is presented as part of FST's expanding New Play Development program, and is free and open to the public, however, reservations are required. American Repertory Theater at Harvard University (A.R.T.) announces October and November 2018 programming at OBERON, its club-style theater space for cutting-edge performance and thriving incubator for local and emerging artists. Upcoming events include A.R.T.'s Live @ OBERON and Afterglow @ OBERON series, as well as independently-produced events.

Comedy Central today launched the Animated Shorts Program, a new development initiative designed for creators to submit short form animated ideas directly to Comedy Central and provide them with the potential to sign a development deal with the #1 brand in comedy, it was announced today by Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Executive Vice Presidents and Co-Heads of Talent and Development, Comedy Central.

Joe Kinosian, the original star and co-creator of the Off-Broadway sensation Murder for Two will lead the Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) cast of the musical-comedy whodunit October 17 - November 11 at the Nancy L. Donahue Theatre at Liberty Hall, according to Artistic Director Sean Daniels and Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas.

Jamie Lloyd is marking the 10th anniversary of Harold Pinter's death in remarkable style with his Pinter at the Pinter season, staging all the great man's 20 short plays, plus some sketches and poetry – grouped into seven productions – at the theatre which now bears his name.

Art House Productions announces its full schedule of arts programming from September 2018 until June 2019.  Beginning in September, Art House presents its first Artist-in-Residence: Raven Taisce White. Raven is a trans woman from South Carolina and her company, BIRDHOUSE perform a reimagining of their piece Hot Winter. Hot Winter follows five humans as they struggle to understand one another, unifying in difference and falling apart in sameness and is a surrealistic look at the performers' collective universe.

Rehearsals have begun for the world premiere of "Quack" by Eliza Clark. Directed by Center Theatre Group Associate Artistic Director Neel Keller, the production will begin previews October 21, open October 28 and continue through November 18, 2018, at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.

City Opera Vancouver presents the astonishing and macabre operatic thriller, Nigredo Hotel, on September 20 - 22, 2018 at 8pm at The Cultch Historic Theatre. This one-act chamber opera directed by Alan Corbishley, with music by Nic Gotham and libretto by distinguished Canadian author and playwright Ann-Marie MacDonald, tells the tale of an encounter between a beautiful but crazed hotelier and a brain surgeon who seeks refuge after a traumatic car accident.
