The National Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Steven Reineke, and Artistic Advisor Ben Folds welcome legendary actor, musician, activist, and recent space traveler William Shatner as the featured guest artist for its upcoming DECLASSIFIED: BEN FOLDS PRESENTS concert on Friday, April 29 at 9 p.m. in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.

Adam Strauss’s hit solo show, The Mushroom Cure, will return to The Marsh Berkeley for a limited run, performing Friday nights (April 8 – May 27). It will run in repertory with his spontaneous comedic show, Adam Strauss is Not Unhappy, performing Saturdays (April 9 – May 21). The Mushroom Cure was inspired by a scientific study showing that hallucinogenic mushrooms may cure obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), which launched Strauss on a program of vigilante psychopharmacology.

I've mentioned before that I don't generally care for musicals. Never have. I did fall in love with West Side Story as a kid, but when other movies like Oklahoma!, Carousel, Paint Your Wagon, and yes, even Annie Get Your Gun came on tv, I was outta there. We never go too long without learning new details of the heinous crimes committed by the Catholic Church.
