The Boston Symphony Orchestra has added another CD to its extensive and prestigious discography: world-premiere recordings made live at Symphony Hall of Thomas Adès' Concerto for Piano and Orchestra (performed in 2019) and Totentanz (2016), featuring pianist Kirill Gerstein, mezzo-soprano Christianne Stotijn, baritone Mark Stone, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra under the composer's direction. They are part of a new album from Deutsche Grammophon, set for international release on February 28, 2020.

A brand new production of the classic thriller, Dial M for Murder, tours the UK in 2020, having opened at Richmond Theatre on January 14th 2020. The genre-defining thriller - based on Frederick Knott's stage and screen play, made world-famous by Hitchcock's iconic 1954 film is directed by Anthony Banks. Samantha Womack takes over the role of Margot from Sally Bretton from the 14th April, in Milton Keynes where she tours with the company to Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester, Sheffield, Liverpool, Mold, Brighton, Shrewsbury and Salford. Her run concludes in Northampton on June 27th.

With over 20 billion views across the platform to date, this is the latest of many record breaking moments Bieber has accomplished as a YouTube Creator over the course of his career. Jim Thompson, an Army Ranger and POW of the Viet Namese for 9 years, deserves to have his story widely known. In 2001, Tom Philpott published an oral biography of Thompson; later that year, the next undeclared war was triggered. Glory Denied, a 90 minute opera based on Philpott's book, definitely contributes to raising Thompson's profile. Urban Arias has mounted a strong production of the 2007 one-act work in English through January 19 in the Keegan Theatre's space on Church Street.

Alex Poots, Artistic Director and CEO of The Shed, today announced its 2020 Season of new productions by progressive artists from across the performing arts, visual arts, and pop culture, including live performances, solo exhibitions, and the final group of The Shed's inaugural Open Call series for emerging New York City-based artists. Poots also announced the appointment of Madani Younis, who joins The Shed in January as Chief Executive Producer. The series, created by GRS Music Director Marcelo Lehninger, includes concerts entirely devoted to the piano, both as a solo instrument and with orchestra.

The new production is directed by Tony Award winner Ivo van Hove; and for the first time ever in the United States, will feature all-new choreography by the internationally acclaimed Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. West Side Story will begin previews on December 10, 2019 and open February 6th, 2020 at the Broadway Theatre.
